Unlike most other coins, TorCoin has an extremely unique NAME, a very unique and also simple/easy-to-understand NICHE (anonymity), a low total coin supply (12 million), and a focus on end-user usability.
This is what gives it a big advantage over other coins.
TorCoin shot up to $10 within a week of its ICO until it crashed back down due to the original dev (Carsen) dumping his coins - Carsen is long gone from the project, thankfully.
If he hadn't dumped 50k coins on the market, TorCoin would still be at $10 or more. There is no reason why TOR can't jump back to those levels once demand fully absorbs the coins that he dumped.
Take a look past the top 10 coins and you see coins like 'GameCredits', 'Stellar Lumens', 'SexCoin' and 'PotCoin'
These coins are jokes and they have multi-million dollar market caps. TorCoin is better than all of these coins by a significant margin, simply by the name and branding alone! Not to mention the coin itself is better in its functionality and end-user usability, confirmation times, etc.
It's not a unique coin or name, it's been done before. Also has backdoor been fixed? The name and branding (and all the hard work getting the name and brand to where it is) belongs to someone else, you guys just copy and pasted it. Good to see innovation alive and well in crypto. Also you hold at least 1,000,000 coins.... If you choose to dump at $1 a coin you've done ok, because you choose to remain anonymous and won't put your premine into escrow you cannot be trusted. Looking at your wallets you have been dumping smaller amounts again. Comparing your coin to other shitcoins doesn't help your cause, my scam is less scammy than your scam...... You ignore reasonable questions but spend your time offering bounties to newbs to promote this shit. Or you answer the questions with provable bullshit. Great to see Klitshco get knocked out last night wasn't it? AJs the real deal.......... It seems like an unique idea to me, that Torcoin coin also works as a Tor node, thus helping the Tor network. I don't know if any other coins are doing this right now? I'm interested in learning more, how this works... This might make more and more people motivated in running Tor nodes, and in doing so, helping to create a more free and anonymous internet for everyone. Of course, we don't know the motivations of Torcoin creator. If he wanted, he could crash Torcoin economy by dumping his big share. But why the fuck would he want to do that? He will benefit more by pushing torcoin up, and maybe only dumping small amounts sometimes. Howerer that is mostly irrelevant in the long term. The relevant thing is the technology. In my opinion, torcoin offers something new in this regard. And if for any reason Torcoin should fail, another coin will incorporate this idea and make it even better.

My contribution is warning you to not lose money by showcasing some obvious red flags like so many other users here have done.. Hope I am wrong and you make millions with your tors.

I'm sure that most people ignore the trolls, that offer only 1 biased point of view, instead of talking about the issues at hand intellectually.

I have talked about the issues but you don't like to hear them. Let me repeat the most basic one. The torcoin doesn't set up a tornode which is supposed to be the whole point of this breakthrough, one of a time coin. Want a second issue? Huge premine, anonymous dev behind the coin and no escrow or whatever to ensure he (her?) wont dump his coins. I have more but it's not like you are going to listen. Hold that bag tight mate, sooner or later it will be totally worthless and I will be here to tell you.. "Told ya"

I'm sure too that most people ignore the trolls. Greed can make you blind to the facts. Consider this, are the trolls doing it for their own amusement/revenge/ignorance? Or is it possible that some of them are concerned regular community members who see this sort of thing again and again and again, and just try to point out the irregularities and blatant untruths around the actual technology? The torcoin idea is a good one, if it was done properly, in conjunction WITH the tor project, it might get more support. The first torcoin failed. I suspect this one will as well. The more scams that work, the more fiat currency comes into the crypto space. And scammers and legit crypto projects all eventually do the same thing, they turn their own coins back into bitcoin or fiat. And then go on holiday with your money. I'm hodling onto my bitcoin.

Thank you Ashdad for your thoughts. Will think about them...
Meanwhile, I would be happy if someone could clarify, please: When I'm running a Torcoin Wallet, am I also automatically running a Tor node, thus helping the Tor network? I'm interested in any insights...

What's all this FUD about Tor integration? It is 100% finished and has been for a long time. Check the "tor" branch on the github >> https://github.com/TorCoinProject/torcoin/tree/torI haven't merged it with the master branch yet so that people have the option to use Tor or not. Tor may be illegal in some jurisdictions so I figured it is better to let people choose.

This is more FUD. The name TorCoin is not a trademark issue - just look at 'TeslaCoin' etc. Tor is a dictionary word and you can't trademark something like that. The onion logo is another issue, but if an exchange ever gets bothered by Tor Project, all they have to do is change the logo a bit, as C-Cex already did. That's not a big deal.

It's not that simple idiot. You are not using the Tor name in another fashion, e.g. for a company selling onions or something. You are clearly piggybagging on the tor's network name and fame and also have a huge premine to profit for yourself. This is more than enough for them to fill a DMCA and if the feel like it, sue you. Learn how copyrights work dumbass

and since you like examples, remember this one? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CoinyeThey didn't use his name, just a comic version of him on the logo. Changing the logo wasn't enough because they were piggypagging (indirectly) on him. OR IS THAT FUD TOO AND I MAKE IT OUT OF MY MIND YOU DUMBASS SCAMMER?

Coinye bears absolutely zero relevance to TorCoin, for the following reasons:
A. the creator of the coin was using his real name and was well-known, thus making himself vulnerable to legal action. That's a huge mistake
B. Coinye used the actual IMAGE of Kanye West on the coin - making it seem as though Mr West supported the coin. This is far different from TorCoin - we are using the dictionary word TOR. It could be argued that the onion logo is an issue, but that is an easy fix. We also state on the website that TorCoin is not affiliated with the Tor Project whatsoever.
The word TOR is in fact widely used - for example there is Tor.com , which is a sci-fi magazine. And there are many other instances of Tor being used all over the internet.

still, you are not answering the essence of my post and evading my main argument. You piggyback on the Tor's fame & name and also hold a huge premine for personal profit. And up to this moment you also use their logo. More than enough for legal action, and you stand no chance. And even if you can avoid legal action because you live in some country where U.S. law has no hold, as I said all that is needed to do is for them to threaten the exchanges. No exchanges, nobody will use your scammy coin. If people are stupid they will buy your coin. A simultaneous DMCA to all exchanges is more than enough to make their bag's value = 0 P.S: And like you, the coinye guys thought all they had to do was change the logo. And they did. And still got their ass served
