They are going to release a powerpoint on XFUEL in a few days, so might want to watch that. Fuel tokens are complicated economics, see NEO GAS.

Same here. I don't like the sounds of this at all and by looking at Cryptopia it doesn't appear that the market likes it either.

One of the things that attracted me to XBY is that while there was an ICO, it failed but the coin rose from the ashes.... now there is maybe going to be an ICO for a new sub-token?! Why?!

Nah man, XFUEL isn't intended to replace XBY as the blood of the system as you say.  It has a specific purpose (they are making a powerpoint on it). This is from borz just 2 days ago (which is what I assume you are referring to):

"All application income will be XBY so if you use XTRABYTES applications, you’ll have to use XBY. This is creating a big internal demand and an internal economy so to speak which is going to make a very very strong XBY as we continue to grow. So why do you need XBY?  Because you spend XBY on the XTRABYTES based applications and services.
