No, the deposit was 500k, but you have to pay 100k more for fees...
that's what i'm asking for level 2 (deposit 250k) and level 3 (deposit 125k)

As far as I know there will an increasing fee for all Levels:
so for example Level 2:
1. node: 0 xby
last node: Xk xby

between 1st and last node of the level there will be an increase for every new node until you reach last node fee of Xk

Interesting project. Could be the coin to challenge ethereum.
Xtrabytes would be better than ethereum, that's what our lead developer Borzalom said when he started with this project.

Finally the fork stuff is gone, I can't believe the bitcoingold made people so greedy. It was good to see xby not dip too much the project has been steady and great to see the price really going up now.

Lots of development news and buzz, I think now it's really going to be noticed by more people

I'm sure if the project is finished, Xtrabytes is one step ahead of ethereum about decentralized applications since Xtrabytes offer innovative Dapps(Z-apps) with extensible modules, Useful DICOM api, multiplatform, and X-change, the proposed Xtrabytes Z-apps module had a great concept

Being better than Ethereum would be great, but just growing to 50% of the marketcap would already make me very happy  Cheesy

Interesting question submitted today in the XBY community

Quote
I did not look into the white paper, as you initially mentioned that it is non-technical. Now that I have read the first section my questions are still not answered. There is no clarification on how the signing entity is selected and why this should be secure. It is talking about speed and efficiency, yes, but as far as I see it these advantages come at the cost of completely centralizing the network towards the "STATIC" nodes or whoever controls the "PULSE". Please correct me wrong with a technical resource.

1) There is no 'selection of the signing entity', as every node must sign, which is the entire point of proof-of-signature.
2) Pulse is not controlled by anyone. A pulse gets sent to EVERY node when a transaction is conducted, and they all must sign, not just one, so there is no selection and nobody is controlling pulse and thereby able to specifically select which node signs.
Also, quibbling about centralization in this way is semantics. You would then have the same issue with calling any coin that has masternodes 'decentralized'. There are degrees of decentralization. Many, many of the coins in the crypto space use masternodes, including Dash which pioneered the idea. XtraBytes will ultimately have enough STATIC nodes to alleviate any concerns of someone controlling them ALL, which is what would be required to undermine the proof-of-signature algorithm. This is exactly why it is more secure.

Reposting, because at this stage, there is a lot of interest, so I think it is good to note a few things that Borz has said about development, and quite frankly, it's tough to go back 10 pages to find certain info:

Quote
1   -   Some members have questions and concerns regarding the economics of adding the XFUEL token ... in a simple way, how does this all work?
Borz: We will create different tasks. Each task is simple and short. Not longer than 1-2 hour of work or permanent service. After the task done then the worker/helper/supporter/service provider/contributor get XFUEL income. The XFUEL is tradable via XBY possible to buy/sell. If
someone collect more XFUEL then possible to partialy replace the XBY deposit to XFUEL. The XFUEL deposit help to we get more STaTiC-s whitout remove more XBY from circulating supply.
The goal of Xfuel to help the XBY development and build the different developer teams. The successed tasks help growing the XBY. After more task successed then XBY will be more valuable.

2   -   I watched the xfuel video clip just now. Its a second 'coin' running on the xtrabytes chain, is that right?

Borz: XFUEL is not 'coin'. This is expansion of XBY and part of the system. At this moment XFUEL work in different chain but the goal to merge the all system components. XFUEL is the first clean STaTiC+PoSign "coin/token" and there are two goals.
1.) beta testing the PoSign algo
2.) finance the developments of XBY. Very important therefore i say again.  XFUEL is not independent coin. XFUEL is the part of the XBY system. No coin swap. I continue to develope the XBY system.

The entire Q and A session can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864397.msg22884981#msg22884981

Its taken a while for people to wake up to the fact Xtrabytes is completely unlike any blockchain tech so far...

Its tough to communicate it cause you cant compare how it works to other blockchain tech. Im sure lots of other projects will be using Posign instead of POW or POS. This is new technology being birthed.
