at flypool you don't get paid for the blocks you mine. Instead you get paid for the blocks that mature while you are mining. Some people has also figured this out and raid the pool to collect on those blocks. I'm still surprised why people still mine there. Look at the image and see the jump on hashrate as the pool is paying on a lucky hour they found 23 blocks

seems to affect zcash only as they have 50% of the network hashrate

I think it might be a coincidence. Block maturity is around 2.5 hours, and those spikes from the good luck hour, happened hours after. Could be a mining farm switching from ETH to ZEC mining.

no. someone has a script to raid the pool to collect on the lucky hour. It goes on all day long. The spikes happen on their european and US servers every time there's a lucky hour of maturing blocks

interesting, now a lot more people is raiding it for the lucky hour blocks. the european server hashrate went up 35%. Maybe honest miners start to pay attention

it seems they flypool has corrected the problem and paying when a block is found rather then when it matures, like every other pool does
