First Snapchat investor says Bitcoin will be worth $500,000 dollars by 2030
Their argument is based on a growing usage for transferring money across borders and countries.

I personally think this is a little far fetched, although I never had the money or knowledge to invest in snapchat.
Perhaps I am not best qualified then to comment.

I know you guys are more knowledgeable than me, so let me know your views!

If this really is the case, even if BTC is worth 1/10th of that, its worth holding that fraction of Bitcoin for the future.

Government not stupid one, they will push down the price. maybe 5 digit is available.

and how would they do that exactly
and more importantly why would they do that.
price of bitcoin going up won't change anything in a country and the government don't care about these things. however what they care about is how bitcoin is used, meaning preventing people from using it illegally and since they can not do that the price doesn't matter because you can do the same illegal stuff if price was $0.0001

I also saw that news and my response is positive to this as I will throw this possibility away. I decided to take chance and will move exact 1 Bitcoin into a separate wallet for holding purposes. This claim can not be fully bullshit and can turn to be true who knows after all 1220$ current price were seeming dream too quite at start. I will say yes it is quite possible to see it that worth.

Do you know how much 13 years is? Everything is possible in 13 years even 100 times higher price then this. On other hand Bitcoin have also big chance to be totally worthless in 13 years.

I think that until the 2030 some altcoin will overcome the bitcoin because of a one simple reason- it will be technologically ineffective comparing it to the newest altcoins with upgraded mechanisms.
Also, the 500,000$ price per one bitcoin is very high, even in 2030.
We would talk about very big increase, from the 1200$ in only 13 years.
The bitcoin supply is 21 millions, it is not that big to achieve such a big price in 20 years I guess, because we need to remember also about money distributed also on altcoins.
Many known people have said that bitcoin has the great future, and most of us believe in that, but we cannot forget that currently, bitcoin dominance is 69.9%. which means it is not so much as 5 years ago.

Wow, it's incredible. Just buy more bitcoins and hold it for long time. Just need 2 bitcoins keeping until the year of 2030. We can become a millionaire. it's very easy to be a rich person.

The speculation is simply an exaggeration.  He just say some random amount without considering the resistance and all other factor that may hinder the price increase.  For me this is just a non-sense blabbing just to take some attention.
