Hi,

I would like to expose the case of syahril.

The robbery happened during the Ethereum.link bounty program.
1) I applied for the french translation of the forum topic. I translated the topic and published my translation on the forum Altcoins (French) .
2) 8 minutes later, syahril posted his translation.
3) Once he has published his translation, he found mine.
4) Because he can not speak French fluently (he actually uses Google translate), he found that my translation was better than his, and he copied my topic to replace his.
5) The developers saw his translation, wrote down his name, so he can be awarded the bounty reward.

The defence took place one or two days later.
1) I did not receive any email confirming me the reward.
2) I decided to take a look at the original topic.
3) I found there was a french translation, and it was mine, but someone else posted it : syahril.
4) The reward list said that syahril was awarded.
5) I contacted the developers, and argumented the truth of my word with the publication dates, the image being on my imgbb account, and the possession of the .AI file containing the style informations of the translation.

Results
The robber was distrusted by some people who heard the story, and by myself. He was unawarded the bounty reward.
I was awarded the bounty reward.
Yesterday, he finally changed the version of his translation for a poorer one, made by himself.

Why am I making this topic right now?
I make this topic to warn people of the danger of syahril, the bounty reward robber.
I offer you the choice, and the reasons to distrust him, so the next people to meet him will be aware that something is wrong with him, and his actions have to be taken carefully.

You initially stole his work and payment. That much is clear.

You used his work as your own to get the payment.

There is no getting around that. You even had the award reversed.

PM'ing me saying "I didn't steal, please remove your trust" doesn't change this. The rating stays.

There are too many fake bounty hunters in the altcoin section. Most newbies there use google translate/bot social media accounts and claim the bounties while the devs don't take time to verify the translations/social media accounts. The case with you was different where he openly claimed your work as his. This desperation to earn rewards is getting dirty. Glad that you caught him before he actually claimed the reward (after the ICO ends) else it couldn't be taken back then.

It is clearly a disease. You may report them directly to the developers of the concerned coin. In the same time, you will contribute to the project.
Here in the reputation forum, you have the possibility to expose your proof and to leave a mark. You also give the choice to this forum people to trust rate the fellow. We are truth open.
