Anybody know why the l3+ seems to be keeping such a good return on hashrate $50+ a day

I presume you're mining with ProHashing or some other auto-profit switching pool. We're seeing an average of $51/day as well. Lots of people are just mining litecoin and throwing away 50% of their potential profits.

I didn't think those websites were legitimate where it switches what you mine based on profits. ProHashing is a good one you say? Very interesting.

Up until a while ago I was under the assumption that the L3+ could only mine Litecoins.

if you thinking about future of Litecoin, it will profitable for you, because if LTC rate will increase then it will x0.5 or double, so keeping of Ltc is most profitable

1st keep power off to the miner for 5 to 10 Minutes. After can power ON.
2nd if not help with 1st method then check your internet cable working properly or not.

As it's bought from other user which haven't been online for over a month i can't get Order ID which i need to send it back to Bitmain. Will wait until Bitmain warranty starts accepting reapirs of L3+ then send to them(they said after few weeks).

You can send the boards back to Bitmain and the out of warranty repair cost from Bitmain is not bad.  The bad part is the time it takes for it to finally get to the repair facility, the repair to get done, and then get the boards back to you.

The average I would say is 1-1.5 months total to get a board repair completed.  The cost per board repair for the last ones I sent in were $35 per hash board.  So the cost itself isn't bad.  It is the time and opportunity cost that is the killer.  At least with these miners you can send in just a bad board.  The S9/T9/R4 you have to send the entire miner back and that is killer.

If you are in the US you can send to the US address and that dramatically reduces the shipping cost, but it doesn't speed up the time at all for the repair.  Don't waste your money sending overnight or express mail or anything because once it gets to that address it is all slow boat to China from there.

Bitmain Warranty would turn it around much faster, but of course you pay a lot more to get the work done.

Unfortunately, I'm not in USA. But your information is very useful. I guess that you have sent hashboards of S9/T9/R4?

Heh, no. I'm using ProHashing to auto-convert all of the mined altcoins into litecoin. I end up with more than 1 litecoin per day per L3+. Seriously - do yourself a favor and investigate this for yourself. Here's a video I made that includes a 24-hour side by side test: https://youtu.be/e07eW6-rBPI

Help me help you 😉

Hi mate - yes i am.

I am currently back on Nicehash as i was having instability issues on Prohashing.

Looked at my earnings and myself are you tally up quite nicely. some days £47 others slightly less..... makes me consider keeping the L3+ if it continues this rather than sell before the 4 D3's arrive, what are your thoughts...

Is this still an interesting investment to buy at this point? Or will delivery time kill the profits?

At the moment they're offering a D3 online, not an L3 (https://shop.bitmain.com/).

But if you can buy an L3 second hand somewhere and have decent low electric costs, I'd still consider it. At this point with for example a switching pool there's still money to be made.

BitmainWarranty atm doesn't accept L3+ repairs probly too low fail rate. They said to msg in few weeks. So i'll ask for ORder ID first then worst case wait a month for repairs.

The only password parameter I send to ProHashing is for naming the miner. In the video, I set the name to "208" (n=208) to match the last octet of the local IP address.

I am setting up a new mining operation with the latest BW L21 ASIC miners, it amazes me not many people know about these with the supply shortage of the L3+. These miners are for litecoin (scrypt) and ship at 550 MHS but for the past week I have been mining it on 684 frequency no problem for 580/600 MHS - nicehash even has 611 MHS peaks for me. I have been really impressed with the units. Being pre-retail they are doing some updates with the miner dash but it hasn't affected pool hash at all, simple reset and the dash updates regardless. Apparently they run this on the big farms in china for quite some time and at 45 degrees temps.

I have made a serious investment, with a large wholesale number of units being shipping every month, starting end of September for our private farm. I would consider letting a small number of these units go to serious miners as I want to build a network of mining contacts to share IP.

If you want to talk to me about it further, just send me a PM. I am not interested in sending out single sales sorry. But if you want to buy a few units let me know and we can see how we can scratch each others back. I will share more info, video, screenshots, returns etc on my tests with this unit over the past few weeks with individuals privately. If you also run a farm and interested get in touch.

cheers.

Cool.  Smiley
I have a thread for the BW-L21 here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1918895
if you'd like to share results and experience mining with it.

I was also able to buy one and I will get it and do a review thread here for it next week.

I like it more open and it doesn't hurt to tell people about the BW-L21.

BW has so large amount minimum order quantity (100 units) that it is already pretty much only for large scale players and I think every large scale miner already know their products.

 Minimum order 100.
VERY little advertising and BW.com has made it an active PAIN for non-Chinese folks to get any info about them.

In theory they'll soak a lot of the demand from the LARGE mining farms and leave more of the L3+ output available for small miners.

Optimally, they'll live up to their EARLY claims and start selling their miners to small folks - but at this point I suspect that's hoping for too much.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!
