Anyone get their shipping notice for the Aug 28-Sep 12 batch of the L3+'s yet?  Can't wait to get these bad boys in!!  The question is, do I fire them up or sell them on E-Bay for 3.5 times what I paid?  Getting 4 of them, that's a nice profit!!

already received it on 28th. The machine is completely fine except the sound as always.

Mine are still listed as Paid/Unshipped.  Getting rid of the S9's to make room for these.  Just can't decide if I should sell them and take the profit, or send them to the COLO in Sept?

Mine for a month or 2 and then sell, same as what i have done, thats my 2 cents worth.

Just keep a close eye on your daily profits and go from there, more L3+ = less per day...

Mine are still unshipped. 3.5 times more than you paid? Try 6 or 7 on ebay, and people are actually buying them.

I've considered doing that for mine, but the only reason I would sell them for a nice payout is so I have adequate funds to prepare my warehouse unit for the October batch I have coming (ventilation, electric, etc), but I got that covered already. 

I think that question is best answered by yourself. Do you believe the L3+ will remain profitable to mine with? If so, keep them. I sure as hell believe it.

That's not necessarily true. More L3+ = less per day if and only if the price of LTC doesn't rise. Of course by itself higher difficulty means lower profits, but what usually happens around the same time difficulty rises? Price rises - as we're currently experiencing now with Litecoin at nearly an all time high.

Outlet questions:

Based on earlier comments in this thread (I'm reading through the entire thing, though I'm not quite half finished at the moment), I plan to hire someone to put in 240v outlets.  I haven't yet decided what type of plug to use, or how many outlets to wire.  Assuming amperage is dealt with, what type of outlet and what ratio of outlets to PSUs do you recommend?

I'm wondering if power strips are as hard to find/expensive when dealing with this amount of power as are surge protectors, which I got the impression people don't use much with antminers, and I might need one outlet per PSU.  And I want to plan/shop around what cords I'm going to get to go with the PSUs based on what outlet I install.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

This is just me, but I think my way of doing this makes sense.  I figured out what PDU (Power Distribution Unit) I wanted to go with, and I am having my outlet done to match it.   I'm going with a NEMA L6-30P twist lock plug outlet for a Cyberpower PDU30BHVT8R, which will give me 8 outlets, and 30 Amps at 200/230.

You will likely break even in 4-6 months at current litecoin prices and assuming the difficulty continues to climb the way it has been.

You will likely break even in 4-6 months at current litecoin prices and assuming the difficulty continues to climb the way it has been.

Break even in 4-6 months for the October batch, but that estimate is without assuming the price of Litecoin will continue to climb along with the difficulty. So given that this break even estimate is likely longer than what we'll actually see, and a 4-6 month break even point to start with is already really good for an investment, it's difficult to imagine a doomsday scenario for them. Especially since most people don't factor in the money they'll get back from selling the machines.

600 MH/s is an extra $280.00 per month per machine over the stock 504. No small potatoes. I just like to wait until the warranty is up before doing this. Or there is another tech advance imminent. Also, 600 vs 504 is not even very aggressive. Very likely will not effect the machine as long as he monitors temps. Probably worth the chance. His money....his call.

Exactly At the current hashrate it will pay it self off in like 30 days. I have one of the earlier batches of L3+'s I am better off OC and gambling now while the hashing power is low.

Question out of curiosity, when Bitmain updates your order to "shipped", do they provide a tracking number for each of your miners that you order? Do they even update your order at all, or will the miners arrive at your doorstep before they even mark your order as "shipped"?
