I have recently tried Jaxx wallet and their in built exchange feature with shapeshift integration. I have exchanged around 10$ worth of ETH and it shows that i will receive around $10 in my bitcoin address so than i clicked on exchange.

After few minutes i received my bitcoin but its value was only 7.43$  Angry so i just dig little bit and found that shapeshift paid 0.70$ around in transaction fee but where is the remaining 2$  Shocked Angry

I am really sad with this incident, but lesson learned and i have tried this small amount before doing bigger exchange.

For the convenience you do do pay a premium but that is high to pay just for an exchange that small. $10 is not much to exchange and just imagine if it was for $100. They would take $20 for that? Embarrassed

Next time just use another exchanger to do it instead of relying on a in-wallet so called exchanger to do it for you.

Because for them to do the leg work for you is not worth losing $2 on the exchange.

Well not to me anyways. Undecided

Can you send us the shapeshift link that usually comes with every exchange that you do?

If you have used precise exchange as it should on Jaxx wallet then you shouldn't have a problem with the fee being so damn high at all. But if you're not, then maybe that's where the problem occurs. There is transaction fees that has to be paid to the miners on both sides. If you used the "quick" exchange option then you may be charged worse rates because you're not using a precise amount.

Anyways, submit a ticket to sahpeshift if you really want to but i don't think it's that good of an idea to spend so much time and hassle on $2 Wink

Good luck!
