Not wanting to pay fees for sending EUR to a GBP bank account, and being unsure as to how to use TransferWise to remove money from Bitcoin-Central, I asked about converting my remaining EUR to BTC. This is the reply I received.

Currently, we are processing all withdrawals by hand as both the EUR and BTC funds are under lockdown.  Once we're up to date with all withdrawals, we will be working on a process to allow conversion between funds.  Please stay tuned for information posted on the site.
This might well suit me better than withdrawing fiat.
I wish them well, and look forward to their return as a stronger and wiser exchange.

Isn't it only 0.99 EUR for SEPA withdrawal?

I just did, will let you know if they answer.

Got a very swift answer to my ticket, basically saying:
- They acknowledge my withdrawal
- The BTC refunds are processed in batches - and all are manually verified
- Depending on your batch, it might still take a few days

Overall, the quick answer and the fact some of you have been refunded make me very confident.

If they ever reopen (and they actually refund everyone), it'll become my favorite exchange place again, for sure.

EDIT : Received my BTC few minutes ago too, so I'm all set.

Really nice to see honest exchanges. I hope they resolve their instawallet issues as well. They are somehow inseparably connected to it now.

My transfer has been successfully done "only" 12 days after asking ...

That's fair enough, considering that they had to processed manually to all of their customers withdrawal requests at the same time.

I withdrew 500 Euro from Bitcoin Central to BitStamp on 25 April. They told me that they have sent it but BitStamp say they did not receive anything from them. BitStamp have asked me to ask Bitcoin Central for the SWIFT confirmation from the bank in order to prove that they sent the cash but after repeated requests they have not given this to me. I have asked one more time for this but if they do not provide it, what legal action could I take against Bitcoin Central do you think?

ok, I will wait. I think apart from this Bitcoin Central have provided a good service to me so I give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Would be good to know what's going on at BC, my BTC out was very quick but small EUR transfer from 2 weeks ago never happened, maybe too small.
I would be happy to just leave them there but it would be good if there was some indication of what is happening, i.e. will they be back?

Wasn't there talk of setting up the option to buy BTC with small amounts of EUR at some point?

What the?! Again?!

The writing is on the wall, all! Bitcoin-Central is about to be "hacked" again. I'm willing to bet that Grandval, Pierre and David are setting the stage as we speak, for Boussac just locked the InstaWallet claims thread in spite of them still owing me 1,132 BTC.
