Broke my heart yesterday having to crack one open Sad

But as that old saying goes: You gotta spend money to make money!

I would buy, but for 20BTC id rather wait until the next run. That is an astronomical premium for the coin

Yeah I don't really want to sell it but I need the funds and I am sure there would be a collector interested as they are 2012.

A thing of beauty.

For the record, 20 BTC is the price I sold my 10 BTC silver Casascius coin (w/ gold-plated BTC) for only a couple weeks ago.

I am potentially selling, but no way for 20 Bitcoins. These can hardly be found anywhere at the moment, and the most recent price I saw for them was $7000 on ebay, back when $7000 was equivalent to 50 Bitcoins.

Sure, $7000 with zero bids. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare1oz-Silver-and-Gold-Original-Physical-Casascius-Bitcoin-10-BTC-/261196077300

I'm yet to see one go for this much. I'd be interested in purchasing one, but the price would have to be right, ie not 50 BTC!

Unlevereged financial instruments acting as a store of value that fluctuate 50% within 10 minutes is perfectly acceptable. I think it should be offered in IRA form to soon to be retirees.

The coin is nice... but it's not worth $1,5k in bitcoins + $5,5k.
For 5,5k you can buy 4 oz of gold LOL

And I'm sure casascius will make more...

Sure, $7000 with zero bids.
The one I referred to was this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare1oz-Silver-Original-Physical-Casascius-Bitcoin-10-BTC-Fully-Loaded-/271183516062?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item3f23cc119e
At the time the 7k bid was made, that was equivalent to 50 Bitcoins.

I believe the one you linked was a bit later, after the Bitcoin price had already crashed. Makes sense that no one bids 7k for it then.

And I'm sure casascius will make more...
He'll make more coins, but he won't make any more silver 10BTC coins.

I'd be interested in purchasing one, but the price would have to be right
What would a right price be?
