Interesting project...
your signature is deceiving... if i were to use any of the several windows based operating systems i would have to faithfully "trust"microsoft and the person who sold me the software on whatever medium it happens to come in.  the same with Mac!
with linux there is no need to apply "trust" as the previous OS's but you need to have "Knowledge" to maintain the level of functionality and security on your own systems! so trust is not in the equations!
on the other hand this thread is Yes Very interesting and unfortunately only time will tell the actual relevance of this project ! in my opinion if handled correctly this could be a game changer! But only if handled with a very surgically precise formula! and a follow-thru of almost unheard of finesse.

Oh, so everything you ever run on linux, including all the parts that make it up as well are known to you 100%? Have you reviewed every line of code and then compiled it yourself?
If not, you are putting plenty of trust on many different people, including developers and distribution / repo maintainers

as a mainframe i do not use either and or any of the fore mentioned operating systems and yes i do review and compile the entire file by file operating system i use every day! if infact i did not write the application or program myself i do review each and every line of sourcecode.
while using one of the very few real-time OS's i have the same operating system base as i did a few decades ago and i have built this and it evolves as time does require .
is there anything else i can help you with?

Haha, OK mr Stallman. You have covered all the bases.

I am confused though. So you don't use a linux based OS? Yet you commented on the guy's signature which was referring to linux.

Regardless of what you use, for 99% of the people who use linux (made up statistic but do you really doubt it's close to accurate... does it even matter?) there is a significant amount of trust involved.

It seems you are going to encourage the spamming of addresses with your chosen method.

What's to stop people from generating a large number of addresses to claim multiple shares of airdrop? Is this what you want?

Maybe you should impose some limits, such as restricting to one address per email (it's more work for the multi-claimers) or only allowing eth addresses that have any non-zero amount in them

I suggest to extend it through PM here at a forum. And to limit a rank of the participant to Member. E-mail the bad choice as registration takes several minutes.

We decided not to go by PM, its difficult, confusing to manage and not public.

We will restrict all address entries in our website by IP and we will use recaptcha to prevent abuse.

All participant addresses will be visible in the website.

How much total suply minereum coin dev
if without ico how distribution youre coin, airdroop, bounty campaign, signature campaign, faceboook campaign , twitter campaign or how about distribution coin

The total supply will depend on the total amount of genesis addresses as explained in the white paper.

Social Media campaigns will be dealt with after the contract is live.

I just made a Telegram group for all of us: https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAEGTnsYCLx9H5rGQdQ <-- Join here
I will update all relevant news as soon as posible by watching this thread and posting to the group. @Dev feel free to join us and become the Admin of the group if you want to  Wink

 Grin

Dev, you need a twitter account ASAP. It'll be better that way on updating us. Cheers.  Wink

Twitter is more effective way to spread the words and keep updated about latest progress.
twitter and slack and telegram facebook  are so many social account that mnereum need to fix , so it will be easy for many people not just twitter!

I just mentioned twitter because it's adopted more. Any form of communication other than this forum would be ideal. I can't be checking this every second waiting for an update. I like the twitter alerts.  Wink

Why you require as much ethereum addresses as possible! when airdrop start date?

The more the addresses the more the coins will be destributed, however, the more the addresses also the more the supply and the more the cost of deployment of the Smart contract into the ethereum blockchain.

The costs of deploying the smart contract will be totally covered by our team.

im in  Grin

Can u provide public information about ip/sockpuped abuse prevention? I fear there coul be premine style abuse if no careful research. Also will u tell us who the team is in real life someday? that would add value. I could help making a nice website and slack channel.

Every address added will be visible in the website.

When an addresses is inserted 2 validations will happen:

- is the captcha invalid?
- does the IP already submitted other address?

If yes in any of them, the address will not be submitted.

NEM was succesfully distrributed to forum members. Look at their thread.
Depending on their status is a way to prevent sockpuppets accounts.
Sir, what do you mean it New Economy Movevent [NEM/XEM] ?? this is minereum or MNM sir, not NEM

To be clearer, I was saying to copy NEM original kind of distribution.
