There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

1 MNE for token creation is  very cheap.
Maybe 10 or 100 will be better?

It is amazing that Minereum and Bancor both have easy token creation at there core. Minereum is a bargain compared to the upcoming Bancor. When Bancor will hit exchanges it will probably be valued around 2 billion dollars. Minereum is only at 5 million dollars. Bancor is not even close to releasing a mvp and with Minereum you can already create your own tokens (still some ux work tot do). Minereum is a sleeping giant. If it will even reach half of wat Bancor will accomplish we are all going to make a huge profit. KEEP MINEREUM.

Not only keep, but spread MNE! everyone who is active in this thread should at least have MNE in his signature.

Btw I am willing to donate MNE or BTC, if someone is going to make a twitter bounty or signature campaign.

Eventually yes, but now is not know much, only in bitcointalk, so there can be early adopters, but when it becomes more known, then the price will increase an amount, or MNE will increase, so yeah.

Yes, but you would need programming skills... And with the MNE token creating service anyone can create a token without knowing a thing about programming.
It is made simple for the general public.

I've been able to create and move some of my new token.

It shows on the token page like this...

ERC20-TOKEN Getit (*Unverified)
Note: just example

How long does it take for a token to be verified or are there some steps
we must do to verify a new token?

Thanks

To verify your token you need to contact etherscan.io, more info here: https://etherscan.io/token-search

They ask for the following but I'm not sure on the #1. With 2-4 questions, I have those ready to submit.

  • 1. Ensure that you token contract source code has been verified
  • 2. Provide us with your Official Site URL:
  • 3. Contract Address:
  • 4. Link to download a 28x28png icon logo:

Thanks in advance

You can can verify your code here:

1. Go to https://etherscan.io/address/[YourContractAddress]

2. Click on the tab Contract Code

3. Click on "Verify and Publish"

4. Submit the source code as stated in the Token Creation Service post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1867535.msg19583893#msg19583893

5. After submitting your Source Code should be verified automatically

This process is now letting me do step 3 and the form comes up. These two fields I'm not sure about.

There is also an Optimization select that is defaulted to Enabled which I'm assuming is just left this way.

So if you can clarify if the Name is the name of the token and what compiler option we should select then
I can be sure I'm doing this correctly.

Sorry but a lot of times there is no do overs in the crypto world so I want to double check everything. I'm
sure the information will help other as well that need to do these steps.

Thanks

Hi,

There was a little mistake in my previous post, I updated it.

You can see the updated post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1867535.msg19630037#msg19630037

Follow these steps:

1. Go to https://etherscan.io/address/[YourContractAddress]

2. Click on the tab Contract Code

3. Click on "Verify and Publish"

4. Paste the source code as stated in the Token Creation Service post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1867535.msg19583893#msg19583893

5. Put the following parameters:

Contract Name: Token
Compiler: v0.4.11+commit.68ef5810
Optimization: Enabled

6. On the field "Constructor Arguments ABI-encoded" Insert the following:

6.1 Take note of the "From" address that you used to initiate the transaction, for this example we will use the address 0xe64286a1d33c57dc5173297146edd713211eed85.
6.2 Remove the 0x from the address (we now have e64286a1d33c57dc5173297146edd713211eed85)
6.3 add 24 Zeros before the value from 6.2 (we now have 000000000000000000000000e64286a1d33c57dc5173297146edd713211eed85)
6.4 Paste this value on the Constructor Arguments ABI-encoded

Example:

6. After submitting your Source Code should be verified automatically

@Dev

Thanks for the update on the process.

In your roadmap you mention that the MNE that is captured by geographic location will be bought off of an exchange. I don't know if you have any thoughts about this, but I'd be willing to donate a few MNE for my general geographic region once your app expands outside of Switzerland. I imagine you'll find plenty of others willing to do the same. It might let you spread the app a little faster. Just a thought.

The app will be delivered Worldwide, never only in Switzerland.

Switzerland will be just our "Legislative base".

We appreciate that, we will consider accepting external donations too, thanks.

Yes, our team is based in Switzerland, that's what we meant when we mentioned in the Minereum World App Paper "...The country of operations for the App will be based in Switzerland and from there distributed across the World."

Sounds like MNE is the WAVES token creator for the ETH blockchain.  I do worry a little that Ethereum itself will implement something similar in time and it may deprecate the usefulness of MNE.

Possible, but I'm sure they won't deliver an app like the Minereum World app  Cheesy

Besides I believe they can create much more other services, even if ethereum delivers a token create service, which I doubt... they have other problems to worry about, just look at their github   Roll Eyes

I have done this and it seems to have made this contract verified for all related ones as well.
So I'm not sure if other users will need to do this step or not.

Can you please look at some random contacts on the token creation list to see if this assumption
is correct or not.

Thank you

Actually, when Ethereum goes Metropolis, all the feature will be user-friendly, and possibly the token creation too.
Minereum needs a platform like waves to really succeed, very user-friendly, web base, and easy to implement in a company, so they distribute it to their employees and the like, or create a small community for families, etc. Bancor could do that, but its not the same.

Yes seems that is correct.

Looks like a nice feature from etherscan.io, it automatically verifies all the other tokens since the main source code bytes are the same for all.

The issue about making things known to the public is that you need to speak in the publics language.
All over the world people are thinking about starting-up a company on the blockchain and in most cases this will be done with an ICO token release.
In many cases there is a substantial lack of programming skills and in these cases Minereum can be very helpful to facilitate in the token release. To make this as easy as possible there must be an intuitive manual (minereum branded) there can be circulated across all the platforms that are frequently used by people that are in the process of a start-up. Speaking from experience you do not simply land on the Minereum space when inquiring on procedures for on ICO token release. So probably many start-ups are, and still will be, hiring programmers to do the job for them.

If dev wants to talk about idea's to make Minereum and it's functionalities more mainstream circulated I am happy to participate on this.

SO now, how would all these new tokens coming up on Minerium platform add to the value of the tokens, before we have NXT, Waves and ETH, ETC has joined the show too, but I will like to know since MNE is a token on Ethereum platform itself
