TranceCoin is operational & staking is working as intended.

We need a block explorer. Have contacted 4 different providers and all have stated they were no longer accepting additional coins. Was instructed to grab an open sourced BE from github and build my own. If you are a blockchain service provider and have the ability to add Trancecoin- please direct message me!

Have been in talks with the developer Griffith to help with the coin. So far he's recompiled the Linux wallets and provided us with an addnode. He's not taken over development of the project, but has been kind enough to help us us out.

In the future I'd would like to have the chain reworked a bit, but so far- it's operational. We've been able to get the wallet running on a raspberry pi (no gui version) with the current chain 





A simple one page website would help the project out, and if you're able to put a streaming audio link in the site then we can get you some links to trance music streams.

It's slow going at the moment as we are not the original development team. We are currently seeking 'extremely talented individuals' to help in the future development of Trancecoin.

since you no longer have any coins... you really don't have any ability to claim ownership of the project or to make changes to the direction of the coin.. that would be left up to the community. I've time, effort and a few thousand dollars invested in just web services for this project. If you wish to take back over the project you would need to do a swap.. but how do you get more coins without a premine?

All the other coins are in peoples wallets on their computers or they are in the exchange wallet but not on the martket. This coin stakes really well so it is a very good idea to have your coins in your own personal wallet on your computer so you can grab some stakes.

Talking with our team, and we have a few thoughts about the direction of development. We believe that the aspirations we have for a Trance platform could be too big for blockchain. That the trance token itself may just be used as a unit of measure on this proposed 'platform.' We have taken an ether token into consideration, but with current gas prices it doesn't seem as attractive as it used to be.

To be absolutely honest; We do not feel that Bitcointalk would be the best outlet/platform to divulge any details on.

There are two main reasons for this:

A. Other developers could use the details provided here to produce a competitor product & get it first-to-market.
B. Financial Technology (Fintech) and blockchain technology has a bad habit of making promises or 'wild claims' about their product/service, and never making good on 'said' claims (we see this as a systemic problem in the industry, and we do not want to portray our activities as something they are not or that we cannot accomplish).

Where other unscrupulous developers / teams have played the industry like a musical instrument & milked millions from the misinformed- we want to do this in a professional manner. The last thing we want to do is lead people on and have them believe we can do something we cannot.


Close to the vest and conservative- this is for our safety, and the safety of your money/investment.

Total Coins: 51851852  This was the amount listed on the Github from the previous developer. We have found that the coin IS NOT Hardcaped = no limit at this time.

We will have to fork the coin in the future to softcap Trancecoin and to add a diminishing block reward. We will attempt to keep the max number of coins as close to the original github posting.

We understand the values of low coin-counts and low float/marketcap coins. This Necessary fork is currently being discussed.

We asked the coder about a soft/hard cap and if there were any diminishing block reward


It looks like the original developer DID NOT HARD CAP, and they didn't code in a Diminishing block reward




We WILL have to fork the coin in the future to put in this soft cap. We are sorry for any confusion this may have caused, and we're actively looking at our options.





This is one of the potential hazards of working on old coins- sometimes you have to get other people to dig with you before we can truly know what we have.

this is the idea- we softcap the coin, and have it with a diminishing block reward so that the pos phase continues to pay out a smaller amount until we reach the soft cap.
at the soft cap it would only mint a few coins just to cover the coins functionality




the more I think about this.. the more I see that none of the coins will actually work


With Bitcoin, it's only a PoW.. if the block reward is less that the cost of operation then people will no longer mine it. A pow requires miners to process transactions

a pos relies on wallets (clients) running to process the transactions


but if you cap a coin- then the pos doesn't really matter




starting to get the funny feeling that all cryptocurrency has been set up to fail from the beginning

With the low supply currently of only 13 million coins I don't think there will be a massive issue with too many coins being created right now. I think a little further down the road when the supply starts to surpass 20 -25 million then we should revisit the idea of lowering the new coin generation. I think a simple change in the POS percentage would be more than enough to slow down the generation of coins.

I just submitted the coin to coinmarketcap. Will let everyone know when I hear back from them!

It's probably a bad idea to request coinmarketcap adds trancecoin. The request form clearly says it doesn't add coins with less volume than 50000 USD equivalent a day, and trancecoin only had $900 volume today.

This is what coinmarketcap says.

Does the cryptocurrency have at least 50000 USD equivalent of daily trading volume on exchanges?

If you answer no to that question it shows this message.

Insufficient trading volume
Sorry, your cryptocurrency or exchange is not eligible to be added at this time.

If you answered yes to the question it will probably just annoy the coinmarketcap operators.

I use it in exactly the same way as you.
However, synchronization has also been completed and it moves perfectly.
Synchronization probably only takes a little time.

Correct, when I filled out that application we had over $600,000 in 24 hour volume. I'm sorry but I cannot tell the future and know that the volume is going to go up or down later on. If you can tell the future please let me know so I can get some winning lottery numbers from you. Coinmarketcap can email me if they are upset about it and I will explain it the same way.

We had $600,000 worth of volume so I submitted to them to get listed. Then the market started getting less volume after I made the submission. I do not control the market nor can I tell you what the future trade volume will be.

Go look at the block explorer and pull the nodes that are active from there. I'll put a link in here for you.

On that page it gives you all the IP addresses of the nodes that they are currently connected to so that should make it easier for you to connect.

Had a few rough days during the crypto and securities corrections. It's hard watching 75% of your portfolio(s) value get erased.

However, we are back in the driver's seat & ready to go. We seen a few issues after updating some graphics in the newest wallet build, and needed to correct them before release. The website is coming along nicely, and we are attempting to get everything up and running before creating the new ann & promotions.

We are not able to give any specific dates when this will all be accomplised, but we are working in the right direction.

Glad that you are working on the project. Seems you are serious with it. In your previous posts you encouraged people to DYOR and to be careful with investing. This is an opposite to some projects, where admins shill their coins without having working product. Hope you really care about to please trance/dance/etc. community.

By the way, did you think about how to solve total supply issue? I'm a fan of small supply coins, which total supply is determined. However, if yearly inflation would not be so big this shouldn't affect the price dramatically...

As an aside note imagine how it could be when the community is using trance to buy tickets, reward artists etc. There are few another 'music' coins and I hope Trancecoin will be able to compete with them or even will set its repute beyond competitions

Our web guy has the basic layout going on a more feature-rich site, and I kind of copied his basic design (the current site isn't all me).
