Definitely a scammer in my opinion.  It warns you that he's a newbie at the top, but then he creates that bullshit addition down there saying that it's genuine because he's a hero member (which he's not).  That kind of lie should be enough to assume he's a scammer straight away.

Since he's talking about using escrow though, if you're actually intending to buy something from him you could go on, as long as you receive every message from the escrow directly and not as a quote from him, you verify the PGP key, you check the name to make sure it's not phishing, you don't click on any links, and many other generic warnings about scammers.

Personally, I wouldn't bother trying.  Just add him to your ignore list and delete the message.

The fact that he sent you a pm knowing there would be a newbie disclaimer in red and yet he quoted a random message and formatted a new message claiming "to be a hero member", that in itself is already a scam, the baikal group buy may or may not be legit from another user but the one you received from is definitely a scammer.
