Death penalty is highly a sensitive and controversial topic in my country and religion, since I
am Catholic residing in a Catholic nation. Religion teaches us to value life, save life and repent
when sinned. But personally I am on terms of agreeing to death penalty, with the growing number
of disturbing and heinous crimes, I think if the law finds these criminals guilty and fittingly deserved
the death sentence then I am in no position to disagree.

Not a big fan of the death penalty. But I can understand the logic behind having the death penalty in a country. However, the problem is that humans often do mistakes and the practice always differs from the theory. So it can often happen that you sentence to death an innocent, which of course is unacceptable. If you will see crimes are rampant now a days. People has no fear doing such act. The number of rape victims are minors. They were mercilessly killed. Again... I would agree with what you said, if god is the only one who is killing people. That is not the case. Every year, more than 500,000 homicides occur and I don't think that god has been blamed for any of these murders. What you are saying that criminals can murder whomever they want, but the law enforcement authorities can't do anything against them.
