Dear members,

Thanks for your responses on Dash! I got a total of 72 responses and that shows how you guys are willing to help me with the survey!

I'm currently doing a research on Blockchain and platforms running on the Blockchain (The University I study is really interested in Blockchain based platforms). The paper can be published here if you guys are interested in it (I'm hopefully done with my paper around end of may/early june)

This time I would like to know your opinion on Ethereum based on just 6 questions. It would take only 5-10 minutes of your time and it would help my research ALOT!!! I have added a question in relevance to the advice I got from the users! Thanks for your advice!!!

Reason I'm doing a survey is that it's better to reach a larger audience on several sites and it's better to compare them with spreadsheets. But I have no problem if you or anyone else wants to answer them through here

and your questions are very bad because you are making an assumption that ethereum is good and based all your questions on that.

your first question starts like this:

Ethereum has a lot of advantages over Bitcoin. Which of the advantages do you like the most and why do you like that?

and to be honest this seems more like an advertisement of this coin rather than being a legit "university research on Blockchain and platforms running on the Blockchain"

also a questionnaire like this should be a multi-choice one because people won't waste their times typing answers but they can choose between choices easily.
google some studies on how to create a proper multi-choice questionnaire and try again because what i saw is a very terrible thing. and as i said you are not really asking questions, you made an assumption on etherum being good and then implied some additional stuff.
even if it were good you shouldn't be asking it like that.

to be honest if you were my student, i would have failed you when i saw this type of question.

I have a question where you can say what the disadvantages of Ethereum is.

I agree that some of the questions need some work as English is not my native language.

Gladly I'm not your student lol. Student can make mistakes and I'm not afraid of making one. I learn by it and makes me grow as a person.

absolutely right, he's obviously done no research on the unscaleable buggy garbage known as ethereum, and is just regurgitating the ever-present ethereum hype spam

as i said people won't spend time typing but they will click on multi choices.

I have a question where you can say what the disadvantages of Ethereum is.

in order of magnitude of the top of my mind:
1) Centralization
2) A big ICO which worked as its premine
3) Bug in the code
4) Manipulations of price
5) Extremely large supply, no max amount (no cap)
6) A huge blockchain size which is growing at a very fast speed
7) Terrible platform, bad wallet, not at all user friendly
edit) i remembered another one: their advertising campaign is annoying and full of lies. the amount of spam by them is unbelievable during pumps.

well, no offense but this survey has no academic value and i am saying this as someone with an academic degree and some experience in this matter.

ethereum = found by ugly little kid name Vitalik Buterin who stole Nick Szabo smart contracts idea and make billions! this kid is a crook!
ethereum itself is buggy and broke, the network have to be fork once every month to be stay stable.

who is Nick Szabo? Nick Szabo is probably the creator of Bitcoin and is the creator of "smart contracts".

Hey, it has been only 4 days since the OP created the thread and the form is already closed for new responses.. Why? Is it that you've already recieved enough of answers? Or is it some kind of a mistake?
Anyway, I am a btc user but I store some eth because I think that one day it will be valued a lot higher than now and the price will be closer to what btc has right now. If there won't be many options to use ethereum in real life at that time, I will just sell but if there will be possible to earn and spend eth on food or house rent - I would use it with pleasure, because the smart contracts system is very trustworthy and the coin itself is quite stable.

Yes I will! I'm in my final phase of my research. I hope to have my research and advisory report done by end may/early june and I will sure put a summary of my paper on Bitcointalk

I think it could be a big player in the smart contrac business but I think its dev will be its demise. Vitalik is too smart for his own good and that will do him in.
