I have a dell xps 13 9360 and I installed Ubuntu 17.04.

Everything works and is fine as best as I can tell, but booting up takes nearly 2 full minutes.

If I run dmesg everything seems to be working well until we get to this point:

Please check my posting history.  I have paid for computer or technical help multiple times.  If you fix this, I will definitely pay you.  As you can imagine, having a 2 minute boot time is quite annoying.

From what I can see in the errors,You  probably have a problem with your soundcard/GPU/Bluetooth drivers.Search on google if Ubuntu is compatible with your laptop or seek for a tool for ubuntu that will install all your missing drivers. If the problem don't get solved, try another version of Linux,I can recommend CentOs or Debian.I wish  you Good luck  Smiley

Edit:You can also try to manually install your drivers.
I also recommend using a debian version of linux named "Kali Linux" It's the best linux version I've ever used, although they made it for Penetration Testing they loaded it with bunch of helpful tools if you want to test your website/wifi/server vulnerability.
Disclaimer:I don't insit you to use it for illegal purposes.Use it at your own risk,I'm not responsible of your acts.

I appreciate the effort, but I want to continue using Ubuntu.  Also - I have googled looking for drivers.  My inability to find a solution is what led me here, to offer money to someone to directly provide assistance.

At first, I inform you that Ubuntu 17.04 is not certified for dell xps 13 9360

But, you can easily use Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS in your board.

You can download Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS 64-bit from here:

After finishing setup, if you will get any problem in Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS 64-bit, you can inform me here, i will try to solve.

Thank you very much for your help.  Initially I had installed the LTS, but I couldnt get WiFi to work.  I will try your suggestion and perhaps I'll just need to install the proper wifi driver at that time.  Thanks again,  I will update you when I get the LTS installed.

I've seen that issue. IMO the problem is not the driver, but this line:
[    5.715730] random: crng init done
Although you can try to disable your audio card completely and see how it goes.

When does your boot delay start and finish? Is it right after this line comes up and does it take about 90s before continuing?

Check out this file: /etc/crypttab
It may be trying to run encryption during boot. Try to turn it off.

You also have this known bug: [    7.045800] ath: EEPROM indicates we should expect a direct regpair map
Which is solved here: https://sites.google.com/site/twisteroidambassador/linux/ath-user-regd

Hope it helps, good luck!

Have you tried having Windows as your main boot up and then booting from Ubuntu using just a CD? Works for me everytime Smiley

Well, I installed the LTS, and everything works perfectly.  I have to say, I feel a bit stupid.  In any event, a deal is a deal, so I will pay you.  Please provide the BTC address you would like me to send the funds to.

That's Good.
If you have a lot of then you can give,
Otherwise it is not necessary to give it because I didn't do any work.  Smiley
