Hi to all! My friend told me about bitcoins few days ago, he is buying bitcoins on ATM-machine and he is gambling with them. He also told me about ways to earn bitcoins, but he is not so familiar with that `cause he just gamble with them.
Now I`m reading for hours and my head is starting to hurt me, is it waste of time to try to earn them? Is it better for me to buy them and just wait bitcoin to grow? About investing bitcoins I saw so many argues in this section, I don`t know what to think after all that.
People here are so different, opposite opinions, argues, and for me its hard to see what is what. How do you people know whom to trust in this mess?

If you have money in your pocket - just buy bitcoins, it's easiet way to get it. Offcourse, don's spend all your savings to buy bitcoins.
Yes, there are many ways how to earn bitcoins - completing tasks on Services board, sell your skills or various stuff on forum, participate in signature, social networks and bounty campaigns and so on. But to earn bitcoins online you need to have more or less skills and enough free time.
Choose way to get bitcoins, which looks better and to you.
And let me correct you: if you will buy bitcoins and just hold it on wallet, your bitcoins won't grow, it will remain same amount of bitcoins. Only value of your coins can go up and down.

If your friend is not familiar just do some research by yourself.

No, if you know some method to earn them like offering services that pay on Bitcoin.
But if you in faucet is a waste of time.

Thats a good idea but you need more time to wait.
Or just invest it in trading (not recommended if you dont know how to trade) or invest it on some respectable gambling site.

Its hard to trust a person especially in online world you didn't know them.

If you really really want to earn bitcoin , just start mining . I think is the easiest method to earn bitcoin . Now depends by your rate of electricity if is high you can't do it , if is low you can get lot of profit monthly

Dude mining costs a lot of money to pay for electricity, internet and for the equipment. Best way to grow your bitcoin is buy a capital and learn how to trade altcoins or invest it in something worthwhile.

earning bitcoin is not a waste of time, it is like saying earning money is a waste of time!
but the way you choose as earning bitcoin (money) can be waste of your time. for example you can go get a job and get paid a decent amount of salary or waste your time claiming 100 satoshi from faucets.

the same goes for investing bitcoin. if you have never invested your money then you have no idea hot to invest bitcoin either. they are the same!

U can wait bitcoin to grow, it is long-term solution.
If it waste of time need to see u where to earn bitcoin, if u earn bitcoin by working , is ok. but if claim faucet to earn, then waste time.

You says your friend on gambling so i just suggest something.

Things u need to take care when u want earn in bitcoin gambling:
1. Don't use coinbase wallet (it not excepted, will banned account)
2. most of website are provably fair fair fair (they say) but u need to know their edge.
higher edge not means not profitable. lower edge not means is good.
3. Try your first deposit with small amount if u not familiar with bitcoin transaction.
4. Don't use auto bet it u want profitable.
5. U can use bitcointalk search to check the website is legit or not.

Bitcoin gambling is very good industries.

if you do play bitcoin faucet, then i am said that its waste of time because the rewards is not worth for you but if you play altcoin faucet like dash, ethereum, litecoin, and else, then i think its still worth for you. before you can make much, you need to do this for a long time while you can save and collect the rewards from altcoin faucet.

I spoke with my friend about all this and he will sell me bitcoins for 20 euros for start. He told me that I need to open wallet first and he recommended me eletrcum wallet and he said that this wallet is one of the best one currently.

Best advice I can give you?
Trust nobody, except yourself.

In this world, everyone will try to scam you or take your bitcoins straight away, if you are not going to be careful enough.

I would suggest you just buying some BTC's, you wont regret that, and you can always make a use out of them in a different fashion, but just dont touch gambling, unless you want to harvest profits thanks to investing these BTC into the balance of casino.
 You can go to services section at Marketplace, maybe someone is looking for the skills you have, they will pay you with BTC for the job done.

i agree with all conclusion you wrote and you need to find which will work the best for you. many of us here is able to earn bitcoin by free and some of us is by buy bitcoin if they have money. and you have a good decision for buying bitcoin for 20 euros for start. if you only want to make bitcoin as your long term investment, then you only need to save it into bitcoin wallet. but if you want to grow the amount, you can do trading as many other people do. electrum wallet is good and recommended wallet but for me, i prefer with mycelium wallet.

Well, there are many ways to earn bitcoin dude.. you just gotta find the easiest way and the trustful way of earning it like this forum you can easily get bitcoin but it depends on your campaign but in this site you will rank up if your rank is bigger your bitcoin will also be much larger you earn but be careful in this forum their are strict rules and also your friend plays gambling that is one other way to earn bitcoin but its a risk but here its simple and easy...

Here I will suggest you to not to do anything atleast for 1 months , just keep visiting in this forum in the begginers and helps section and read the everything that you want to know , and if you have some confusion and that topic is not available in this forum then create your own post .
In this way you will get better experience about the bitcoin and its unlimited ways for the earnings.
If you will follow my advice then you will came know that what should you do and what shouldn't .
Here my second suggestion for.you that don't enter in any earning plan until.you know about that in perfect way ( or atleast formerly) .

That is not the biggest issue about holding your bitcoins at exchanges, if the website is programmed corretly, and secured really well, then the chance of hackers break-in is kind of small.
Most of the people are against storing the BTC at exchange wallet, because you don't have access to the private key of the specified address.
It means that in the scenario when the website stops working, you won't be able to retrieve your money by yourself, only support of the exchange can help you (if it is on, while site is suspended).
Thats the most important reason why people avoid using crypto exchange wallet.

If you are in possession of these keys, you are able to get your funds in every place, just by exporting the privatekey to the wallet.

nope, don't go with mining, you'd be better off buying a couple of even one btc and holding it.

Well you can earn btc just like fiat money and that's by finding a job, selling stuff online, offering services, joining a signature campaign here,etc... It's up to you to pick how will you earn it, but if you're able to buy btc then I think that majority will support you in this decision since btc price is still low compared to what will it be in the few years from now.

Also, you can mine alt-coins instead of bitcoin, but stay away from btc cloud mining services and btc mining in general.

It's best to buy bitcoins and hold them or maybe do trading to gain more. You're just going to lose them if you gamble.
