I'm willing to sell up to 10 of my ASICminer direct shares at a fixed price of 3.0 BTC per share.
Yes, I know this is above recent market prices of ~2.6 - 2.7 each, but this format might appeal more to people who want to avoid the timing of traditional auctions or don't fully understand/trust 'pass-through' shares.
I would prefer to sell in chunks of 5 in order to keep friedcat's overhead to a minimum.
Escrow through JohnK is fine by me, but you pay the fees if you want it.
Thanks!

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Bubble of ASICMINER?
@ 3 BTC per share, ASICMiner is worth >10% of all the bitcoins that exist... Crazy.

Yes, I agree ASICminer is probably approaching 'bubble' status -- that's why I'm willing to sell a few shares While probably not worth >10% of existing coins, I believe they do control over 10% of today's hashrate (and growing!)

Last check they were around 20% total hashrate. It's worth 150 million. I'm not sure if they give out 100% of profits, but based on last weeks dividend/profit the P/E ratio is 78, I believe.

I believe they generally distribute 100% of the profits, and they hold more than 50% of the 400k shares.

"Everyone" is not selling shares....
I believe you are seeing a few early investors taking some profit buy sell a few shares, or a few hundred at auction.
If I made a few hundred bitcoin in 8 months I would think about doing the same and correspondingly reducing my position.
Totally understandable.

Also those of us selling some shares (myself included) aren't selling all of our shares. I still think AM has good value given the dividend history and potential for lucrative hardware sales.
