I really wonder whether Satoshi cares at all what happened to BTC after ge effectively gave it to the public domain. Did he just loose interest when he disappeared? Was he afraid? I guess he just decided that the experiment has evolved far enough to stand on its own feet.

I guess he lost interest in it.
