Hi there

I did a fresh windows 10 install, all the hardware is new, yet when I install the nvidia drivers (372.54 nvidia driver version, as it recomends here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0) during the driver installation the screen goes black, needless to say but my monitor was conected into the hdmi port of the gpu.

I believe I read somewhere (in this forum) that first you must conect the monitor into the integrated video card, disable it, and then proceed to do the installation of the drivers, is this correct?

any suggestions? im a newbie, be patient please. Grin

Use latest nvidia drivers. Older drivers may not be compatible with your version of win10.

Its the most sensate answer I have heard from now on.

Acording to your sentence, then, why says to use that older driver, in this specific and legendary thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0

So that thread is wrong ?

You asked for a suggestion, thats what you got: Use latest drivers. There are "always" updates to win10 which may make older drivers incompatible.
