Guys, on my bios higher frequency is 2000. I haven't 2050 or 2100. Is there a way to add it or it isn't necessary?

Another problem;

After flashing I see one of my rx580's as Polaris 10. I tried reverting it back to original bios but still the same.

Also I cannot see the fan of that GPU. Claymore only shows gpu0..Any ideas why that might happen?

PS: I only flashed the card that is identified as Polaris 10

Try to remove old drivers with DDU and then fresh install.

Phew... Well here I am. Been messing with my very first rig for a week and a half now, sleeping about 5 hours a night trying to get things going smoothly. And I guess it's about time to stop lurking and ask for help.

Running 4 MSI 580 Gaming X+ (I read the X+ meant it was tested to perform well under lower voltages). Samsung memory.

I've tried about every strap combination thinkable, all were horrible. Except for the custom mod which I placed in :1750 and :2000 (Polariseditor only shows on batch of strings, so I couldn't have placed it wrong).
Finally I was able to hit 30,5 Mh/s with Claymore, dual mining perhaps 27 Mh/s. The precise settings for this... I've regrettably forgotten after countless hours of messing with MSIAfterburner (back to 29,5). Not sure if my nerves can handle more system shutdowns (won't those hurt the cards?)

Power draw however remained horrible in comparison to what I read here. 125 watt (afterburner) is what I draw mining Ether alone. Dual mining Eth/Sia and up up up it goes.

Even when I move the cards all the way -100mV in with afterburner, they simply won't consume less. Trixx I hardly dare touch anymore, using the voltage slider just a bit seems to kill the system immediately.

So my question is, what am I missing? Or does someone have a rom I could use for these cards / Settings they use on the same cards?

Hi, thanks for info, this strap and frequencies also worked for me (RX580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB Hynix).

I went little bit further and set Core Clock to 1204MHz and Memory Clock at 2200MHz, voltage -74mV.

Now getting 31.0 - 31.1

I'm not sure if 2200Mhz makes difference compare to 2100 for this performance timmings...
I would prefer lower it'll be more stable and also less heat...

Ouch, I read what you wrote on Reddit earlier (I wasn't joking about not sleeping) but didn't quite understand, only the Linux part and I'm running Windows

I guess I have to sit it out then, wait on afterburner or someone else?

I hope the Asus ROG-STRIX-RX580-O8G-GAMING will treat me better. 6 are on the way and I couldn't find many (any) miners write about those, yet all other cards are already sold out over here.

Is there anything else I should try?? Hoping to not have to return 10 GPUs...

You need to figure out what type of memory you have,  GPUZ, then copy paste certain strings or add a custom string with Polaris bios editor. Your clock looks horrible btw, I don't see anyone going past 2200 (most don't go further than 2100, I see thing happening between 1100/2020 and 1300/2200) and core clock should be reduced not increased. You might have a million memory errors running this clock

You need to figure out what type of memory you have,  GPUZ, then copy paste certain strings or add a custom string with Polaris bios editor. Does memory errors really affect mining performance? I have 3 Msi 580 Armor 8Gs with Samsung memory that Ive been struggling to push it above 30mh without 2200mhz memory. I have copied 1:1750 straps to 1:2000. Currently doing 1250/2200 and it gives me 30.5mh, even though it is giving me like 10-50k memory errors/min. Power consumption is like 87W from GPUZ and around 140W combining the two values in HWinfo. Is my power consumption good? I can't get it below 0.938v though.

After a lot of reading in forums and a thousand unsuccessful bioses I made a bios for Sapphire Pulse RX 580 4GB(Hynix): 30.8-31.3 ETH and 430-410 SC on dual with 120-130W on GPU-Z; Core clock: 1167; Mem Clock: 2150; Driver: 17.5.2. On single is 30.9-31.3 on 80-90W. Stable since 14 hours on two rigs.

Find performance timings and use Uber Mix 3.1.
The best for Samsung memory. I'm mining XMR and this gave me 850h/s instead of 750h/s also with lower memory clocks only 2100MHz.

Hi! I've just bought a Gigabyte RX580 G1 Gaming 4GB (Hynix). I get around 22-23 mhs on stock (24,5 with 2100 memory clock). After I copied the 1750 timing to 2000 I get 26-27 mhs. It has a really high power consumption (140-150w) and I can't get more than 1100 mhz core clock. I've set it to 1200 mhz in afterburner and it's still running on 1050-1100 unless I change the power limit to 155-165w (+10-15%). Any suggestion how can I increase my hashrate/lower the power consumption?

I wonder if keeping the original 1750 might be better.

Dual mining is poor too, about 25 hashes if I lower power consumption to 150/160 per card. Mining only Ether 30+ hashes is 'easy' with the uber mix.

No only to 2000. I have RX 480 Asus Dual 8GB it has standard 8000MHz clock. Also it's safer if something goes wrong with the timing it will only crash when the memory is on the max. If you have 7000MHz so you are totaly fine only if you overclock it may crash.
I don't have MSI, now I'm using only Asus Dual and Asus Strix - the dual is very cheap but Strix have much better cooling. Also neither of them have memory cooling so it's better use performance timings instead of higher clocks.
I suppose you have RX 5xx series? They have bad TDP you can try lower it in bios. Or unlock voltage control in Afterburner or whatever you use and try -50mV. Asus Dual can go to max -100mV (the max I can downvolt, it need bios mod I think). The MSI Afterburner shows after lowering voltages and overclock 1350MHz/2100MHz use only about 80-90W I think I said max TDP to 120W in bios.

The newest one doesn't work on my old cards, probably because they have modded bioses, does anyone know how to get them to work?
