DDR dual channel can improve performance of GPU Overclock?

Dear Friends

I have Two Sapphire RX 470 4 GB ! I was only getting 1100x1900mhz.

However just changing my memory of 8gb and putting two 4gb memories in dual channel I was able to improve the clock of the video card.

Now im put 1100x1950 in two cards

Does the dual channel improve performance and increase the clock speed of the video?
