Vehicles Auction Launch: Are you Ready for the Race?


Are you ready for the race?! Today we launch the Prospectors Vehicles Auction.
A great chance to get yourself some cool wheels. Here’s some info on how to participate and some reasons why owning any vehicle will make your life easier.


How to Participate in the Prospectors Vehicles Auction

The order of the auction, overall, is the same as during the Assets Auction.

In order to bid on a chosen vehicle, you need to have an EOS account and some PGL there.
Prospectors Gold (PGL) will be needed to purchase any of the items in the auction. If you have no PGL on your account, you can get it on Newdex.

As soon as you are ready, visit the auction page to view all current auction items available to bid on.
Make a bid for the chosen items. On the item’s tab, you see, who makes the last bid in the ‘Who leads’ line. Under the item window, you see all available vehicles.
Those items where your bids are the last one will be with “My” label on it.

The auction time will be extended for 3 minutes whenever a new bid is submitted during the last 3 min of the auction. So here you can also see all the lots which are still active after the previous auction stage.

Once you claim your items, they will appear on your Simple Market page. You are able to look over all the vehicles you’ve bought in “My Items” page.

The auction is divided into stages. Each auction stage will last 7 hours, so it’s easy to take part in it around the world. There will be 21 auction stages overall. The auction of the assets will last for 7 auction days (6 calendar days).

One wagon and three carts will be sold on each day of the Vehicles Auction, making a total of 21 carts and 7 wagons overall.

All auction items are Simple Digital assets so you can sell it or give to anyone. You’ll be able to use all vehicles you’ve bought only after the game release (a provisional date — 29 June 2019)

Get a vehicle to make a fast start!

And now a few reasons why owning a cart at the start is good, and owning a wagon is even better.

So all Assets bought from the Prospectors Asset Auction will appear at the center location on the map within a State building.
Players can take their assets at any time and they should transport those assets to their plot after they rent one. Although, moving any significant amount of resources any distance can be arduous and time-consuming.
Using a vehicle to expedite this process would be a great advantage.

Also, there will be a lot of free plots at the beginning. So any player will be able to mine resources at the free plots, and then transport them to his plot. It’ll be much easier with a vehicle.

And even if you don’t have any Prospectors assets to transport, chances are that many other players will be in need of transport services. By performing well paid transporting jobs, your investment in a vehicle could be a profitable business!

Welcome to the Prospectors world! After more than a year of developing on the blockchain and more than two years of developing overall, we finally open Prospectors for everybody! Today we won’t waste your time on plenty of words. Just recall a few more useful things.

LOG IN
The easiest way to enter the game is to use your Google or Facebook account and EOS account. You can log in with your private key or Scatter. As we’ve emphasized earlier, we don’t save your private key.



You have an initial map at your disposal which consists of 2500 plots. Each of them hides the riches in its depths, but even we don’t know what exactly can be found there. All in all, Ten million PGL are buried in the earth’s depths.

GAME ASSETS
Those who purchased the game assets — your time has come! This is the launch of Prospectors on the mainnet! So drag out your Researcher’s and Beginner’s sets, get your tools ready, and construct the buildings. You are the kings of these early days — those who will speed up the development of the world’s economy.

All your assets will appear on the central plot with the coordinates 0/0, where the state buildings are located. To get your asset, send a worker to the plot and take your belongings from the administrative center warehouse. If your purchase is too heavy to carry all at once, don’t worry, you can return for your assets as many times as you need. Find the preferred plot and then move and transport everything to it, until all your purchases are where you need them.


MINE GOLD — BUILD YOUR WORLD
You may want to bring some PGL into the game to convert into Gold, the currency for the game. This way, when you come across a plot rich with deposits, you can rent it straight away. Visit the Newdex exchange to buy PGL.

Remember, only after the exploration of a plot will the existence and volume of resources there become known.

Prospectors: June Summary


When we look back at the history of Prospectors, June 2019 will forever be known as the beginning of times. The game was successfully launched, and the world is steadily growing. Now with the emotions and excitement of launch behind us, we would like to share with you a summary, as well as talk about the most important milestones that were reached throughout the month of June.


The Vehicle Auction

The vehicles auction took place in June, giving players their last chance to acquire game assets before launch. Only two items were available to bid on; carts and wagons. Now the owners of those vehicles are able to look back at just how valuable those vehicles have been and how much easier life was made to have this advantage.
We also held a celebratory giveaway of 5 carts and 1 Beginner Set on Facebook, right before the Prospectors launch.


Tutorial videos Prospectors

Another important task for us was to create useful and easy to understand tutorials for Prospectors. So we’ve started a series of short tutorial videos for beginners to cover all the necessary parts of gameplay. For example: how to start the game, how to manage workers, what is the Prospectors referral program, and much more. These videos were created in cooperation with the amazing Jenny TopKpop. Recommend them to your friends to help them make the first step in the Prospectors reality.
This video series will be ongoing, so feel free to send any suggestions for topics you would like to see in the future.
Fixing and improving after testing in the Jungle
Thanks to your help, we were well prepared for the Game launch. All your in-game activities were priceless. Our team is really grateful for every minute you’ve spent in the game, for every remark you have made and every opinion you have shared! All your work in the testnet helped us to polish UI, find and fix bugs, and improve the overall experience of Prospectors.
Because our project permanently requires high speed of transactions, we were forced to change a few nodes right before the game launch after discovering a critical issue with the nodes we had selected. Although the situation was stressful for our developers were able to solve this problem quickly. Fortunately, this only caused a short delay. We plan to take steps to avoid a similar situation in the future.
So on 26.06, with only a 30 min delay, the very first Prospectors ship carrying all owners of a golden ticket on board, reached the Prospectors Shore. It was right then that the race for the richest plots began. Three days later, we opened the Prospectors world to everyone.
June was a historic month for Prospectors, and we are pleased to see the number of players growing every day. And while we are off to a great start, remember that this is only the beginning, as we have more exciting developments to come. So, good luck Prospectors!

However, it has turned out that there are not many land parcels with big gold deposits, so not every prospector would be able to stake a rich claim. So what should others do, upon whom the fortune didn’t smile? In our game, one can grow rich not only by rocking gravel for gold or finding a goldmine. North is a land of unlimited opportunities, covered by thick forests and earth, full of ironstone and coal, so those who are not afraid of work will find a place in the sun anyway.

Some people mine or wash gold, others produce and sell the necessary instruments. Prospectors and their families must live somewhere, so instead of temporary miners’ settlements the towns are growing up, and the workers are needed to build and expand them. As in the real life, there is a big need for the workforce in the game, so everyone can find the work to his liking: work in the mine, at the construction, fell the trees, or start industry development by arranging the raw materials processing or instrument and transport manufacturing.

Further - more, the banks will open in the towns, the service businesses will appear, various activities and entertainment will emerge… In short, the thing that starts as a gold rush, should grow into the complex trade and economic relations with time. The art of thinking, analyzing, and money counting will help you to realize your potential in this virtual world and earn by no means virtual money. So choose your cup of tea, and good luck!

I used to play Settlers in childhood, that was not online game, may be some of the first version, I just remembered that I liked that game a lot

Some of my friends whom I advised Prospectors say it's complicated. May be it is, as in the beginning when you can't have a lot of gold there are not so many things what you can do. But I also think the complexity is also strength, as for active players game won't be boring.
And for people active in the EOS world, it's easy to buy PGL and put more gold into account (and therefore more opportunities)

A new land, a fresh start!
Guide to Prospectors Assets Auction on WAX

Hey guys, exciting times ahead as the upcoming Assets Auction is upon us.

This time, the assets up for bid are for the new Prospectors land on the WAX chain and will start on Sept. 10 at 9 am UTC.

Everyone who is playing Prospectors knows just how valuable tools are at the start of the game, and how absolutely necessary it is to have gold at the beginning.
If you wish to rent plots, hire workers, or make any orders, Gold is essential! That's why this auction is so important to this new land on WAX.

This is your chance to get the tools, supplies, and most importantly,
the Gold you will need to get started! Each of the Auction assets is like a treasure during the early days.




Planning ahead: The first month on the WAX chain
Please pay attention!: there will be no way to inject capital (PGL) into the game for the first month.
Since the PGL(EOS) - PGL(WAX) migrator is still in development right now, you won't be able to purchase any additional gold once the Assets Auction is completed.
The only way to bring gold into the game is to buy it during the Assets Auction.
The importance of this cannot be understated! We all know how important 'in-game' gold is at the start, especially for big purchases like renting plots.
You must plan ahead and use the Assets Auction to purchase whatever gold you anticipate needing, as this is the only opportunity to bring gold into the game.
There will not be another chance to inject any other outside capital into the game during the first month of the Prospectors game on WAX.
Only after the migrator launch (approximately October, 20) will you be able to transfer some of your PGL (morning EOS) into PGL(WAX).

The Order of the Assets Auction

The Assets Auction will last 10 days overall. Every auction day consists of 4 stages, 6 hours each.
The big auction items, like buildings and wagons of gold, will go under the hammer every 6 hours, the other ones, such as
Researcher set, Beginners Sets, Speculators Sets and different packages of gold - every 2 hours.

To take part in the Auction: follow these three steps:

- Get WAX account
- Connect to scatter
- Buy WAX  (Not ERC20)


Here's how :
1. Creating a WAX account is simple and free! You can create it on the https://wax.io/. The step by step instructions on how to do it is here:

2. You should integrate WAX with your Scatter or Lynx.

Prospectors Weekly Review

New land revealed

It was only a week ago, that the entire land of prospectors was buzzing with news about the possibility of new lands being discovered.
On September 27, we got our first glimpse of hope when we got word from our explorer Grizzley  Jones.
Only a few days later, we got the confirmation that there would indeed be an expansion of the Prospectors map.
On October 3rd, the clouds dissipated and revealed two more rows of plots around each side of the Prospectors land which were immediately available for rent.
Meanwhile, all Prospectors citizens were looking forward to this event with great anticipation.
Two days before the event, workers had already started gathering on the edge of the land.

For example, at one point there were 89 workers waiting for the Prospectors expansion on the corner plot 22/25.
The average number of workers on the other edge plots fluctuated between 6 and 20.

The map expansion was a complicated process, which had never been done before on the main net.
Because of the complexity of this event and the coordination of different parties, we knew the exact timing might be difficult to control.
Before the event, we announced to our community the approximate time we would begin the land expansion.
Although the expansion was a technical challenge, we were still able to successfully expand the map within the time we had hoped without any difficulties.
We made the final announcement to the community approximately one hour before the actual expansion would take place, and were able to successfully launch at that time.

The new plots were made available around 15:30 UTC on Thursday. As expected, most of these plots were rented within minutes of becoming available.


New features added

Today we are pleased to introduce two more useful features which will surely help you manage your Prospectors life.

 
Highlight your Favorite Plots on the Map

We’ve updated the filter, and now you can highlight your favorite locations on the map.
 For example, you may want to highlight a plot belonging to a fellow alliance member, a parcel where you frequently buy tools or any plots you do business with.

The new “Favorite plots” filter will highlight any of the plots you have added to your “favorite” list.
 To add any plot to your “favorite” list, simply click on the info tab on that specific plot. Once you open the “plot info” window, press the “star” in the upper left-hand corner.

Private Conversations with Your Partners

We’re also happy to introduce the new private conversation function in Prospectors.
 Now players have the ability to have a private conversation with your partners or friends right in the game. To start a private chat, press the button on the right from the "Search talk" line. Then give your “chat” a name.

To add a person to the chat, click on his/her account name on the left side of the window. To delete the person from the talk, press the bin button on the right of his/her name.

In summary

We have made great strides this week, from the land expansion to the introduction of new features, yet there is still much more to look forward to.
Our developers are moving on and working on some major features, which will have a great impact on the Prospectors world.
 So with smaller and bigger steps, we move forward and will continue expanding and improving the Prospectors reality.
