I can't say that I am shocked, it was in talks for months now and it only got official, so it wasn't a surprise. I do not know what they wanted from Hansi Flick, dude was a good manager and he did everything right, I feel like he was doing everything he suppose to do, so it is not really understandable why they kicked him off.

However if you are going to do it, you do it this way, Nagelsmann is another level. Dude is only 33 years old, there are players older than him, and he has managed to fit an amazing coaching career in that short period of time. He almost won the league over Bayern if it wasn't for few bad games, he was challenging them so much and he did this with Leipzig, when given Bayern he will surely be putting a huge gap in points between Bayern and any other team. This is not bad but not enough, because Bayern is always the champions, I think his difference will come in champions league, he will fight to get another one for the team.
