I have never heard of the Player before now, £40m from Newcastle seem quite a fee, IMO.

Well, Real Betis just signed Nabil Fekir, a player that was linked to several top clubs, for €25M, so yeah £40M for Joelinton does sound like a lot. After seeing that fee you'd think that the guy at least finished among the top 5 top scorers of the Bundesliga last season, but nope, not even in the top10.

Gareth Bale is a transfer target of Beijing according to some reports. Clubs from China are well known for offering big wages so I dont think there would be any problems in the money department. But I still feel he has more to offer in Europe and accepting a move to China would be too soon in his career.

the impact of what he chose was that he was not called on by the Brazilian national team to defend his country. I don't know why the state did that but in my opinion, they thought Oscar had experienced a career decline.

From that season and then, he didn't seem to be the next talented player that would compete Ronaldo and Messi, or reach their levels of performance. Good for him that he got transferred in China and got a lot of money.

No current player in football is on the level Ronaldo & Messi have displayed over the last 10 years. The other top players are several levels below - Griezmann, Salah, Mane, Neymar. Maybe the heir to Ronaldo’s & Messi’s throne is Mbappe but he still has a lot to prove.

There’s no doubt about Oscars talent but he did choose easy money over fame, just because he had one bad season didn’t mean he had flopped. Bale is another star being linked to the Chinese League if he makes the move he’s expected to earn one million per week which is tempting for any player, but he’ll loose his global star status if he makes the move. Another transfer theory is that  Suning a Chinese club will buy him and immediately loan him back to Inter Milan, that will put him against Ronaldo and I wish this scenario does takes place.

Oddly enough, Salah was never considered as a star player before his time at Liverpool.

Mbappe is really fast and got good skill, and he's still very young. The others are already on 26-27 age so age-wise Mbappe definitely has a chance.

That is the level of money Messi and Ronaldo get and roughly double what Neymar gets. So it sounds about right. The Chinese have to offer money which Bale can't get anywhere else for any chance of transfer to be made. He is currently getting 0.6 million pounds per week so that is not even such a big increase.

Don't get me wrong, I think that all those transfer fees and wages have run out of control and we should have stricter salary caps but that is the situation at market and top players would be stupid if they didn't take advantage of that.

Yes, I also read a few articles mentioning that Dybala has asked to be transferred. Several clubs from England seem to be interested and Juventus would potentially accept offers in the €80-100 million region. During the pre-season friendlies Sarri is also playing last seasons 4-3-3 formation and Dybala doesn't fit the profile.
