Yeah, great post. I fully agree with what you’re saying. If I had any sMerit available I’d hit you up there. There are still a few old school players around but not many.

Yeah, not many players around that play for the team while being worldclass at the same time.That's why i'm grateful that i was old enough to watch EPL and Calcio back in the 90s, it was pleasure to watch so many  classy  players that were all about the team , imho that was the golden football era.

Icardi does not have a place at Inter anymore. If Icardi goes from inter to AS Roma it is a good choice for Icardi. AS Roma is a big club and is also suitable for Icardi.

I also don't like Pogba much 
In my opinion,  he is not mature enough and will never become leader, someone who can take responsibility and lead others.
He is just good player, nothing more,  nothing less.
He couldn't help ManU and I'm sure he can't help Zidane and Real.

I also don't like Pogba much

that's a good thing for Icardi because he can't possibly stay at Intermilan because his position as a striker will be replaced by Lukaku and of course Antonio will prefer Lukaku over Icardi but Icardi is a potential player that will be easy for him to find a big club that wants to recruit him.

For one, Modric does hold the award for The Best men's player in the world. He may not have had a good season last time, but he surely has more quality overall that Paul Pogba.
Pogba is a good talent, but is high maintenance for any club. You cannot bank on his attitude and dedication.

I voted for Solskjaer to get the boot before Frank does if at all any of them is to get sacked. Lampard is more of a project manager at this point, and the Chelsea board has to recognize that and give him time if he can't get the resources just yet due to regulations.

I don't like Icardi but I hope he will be transferred to Roma.
It will be interesting scoring against his old team, and why not more goals that Lukaku in the league. He is a talented and potential great player and it is sad to see him out of the pitch because of a stupid rivalry.

On top of RM squad, from last few days they dont know what they want, first was reading that Jovic will go on loan and how latest is that Zidane will be fired.

Modric was the best player of the year because he was key player in Real and Croatian national team that year.
Real became european champion again and Croatia played in the final of world cup.
It 's normal for big teams like Brazil,  France,  Germany etc. to play in final but not for a small country like Croatia and Modric was their main player and leader.
Right now situation in Real is really confusing and everything is possible,  even that Zidane loose nervs and simple give up from his job.
He only wanted Pogba but couldn't get him.

Irrespective of his age, Modric has been on top of his game and in my opinion has performed better than Paul in almost every season before last, except maybe his final season with Juventus.
When you factor in his age, then Pogba would be a better choice, but Modric would go down as a far better player.

What Modric did on WC? I watched all matches and he did get 2 half times on 7 matches, on CL he did I think 1 goal in 13 matches.
That Prizes was a shame.

Pogba is a Hype for everyone is a Juve supporter, he was amazing when he was with us, he could be the next best in the world. He left an amazing sign.

Reallly? Name a few.

That reward is awarded for accomplishments in particular year and heavily influenced by doing well in top tournaments. That year biggest stage was World Cup followed by Champions League. Modric won CL and finished 2 in WC and he was most important player in Croatia squad and arguably one of top 3 in Real squad.

If somebody else deserved it more, than for me it would have been Varane (won both CL and WC but arguably not as important part of those squads as Modric) or Griezmann who had one hell of a season but not a very good result in CL.

Ronaldo and Messi are better players then all of the above but they didn't deserve the reward that particular year.


Players like Pogba and Neymar are really getting on my nerves. Yes, they are excellent footballers but their behavior is totally unacceptable. They have huge contracts at top clubs and are constantly bitching about something. I wouldn't want them in any club that I support.
