Pique retiring will definitely leave a space in the back for regular starting defenders. It is necessary and important to find a replacement immediately for the departing player. Well I think he has been given enough chances and also they need a change so that they can bring change to their performances and get out of relegation zone and I am not surprised he has been sacked. Saints are a good squad but this season they haven't been their best. They have some good talents and now they need a good manager who sees those talent and give them chances and also playing out the best squad with the options he has.

There are lot of managers in the market. One with the PL experience will be much better.
