I have stated before that I think the negotiations might have gotten further already than the public knows by now. Would Real Madrid otherwise let two strikers go so early on during the transfer period when they are not yet sure that they will have proper replacements? I am not so sure about that. I doubt that all those clubs always adhere to these rules when they are allowed to start negotiations with a player and when they inform the current club of a player. These two transfers of Benzema and Asensio went so fast that I expect them to announce something shortly.

Not a good rumor for a team that is growing again and trying to prepare themselves so that next season they can look even more impressive. That was a transfer that was probably fixed since many many months but of course they had to wait until the end of the season to really sign the deals and make it official. I am pretty sure, that Julian Nagelsmann really wanted this deal to happen because he coached Laimer before at RB Leipzig. So the situation now is a little bit unlucky.
I still think though that Laimer is a great player. He is very motivated and is always one of the players that is running the biggest distances within a game. I really hope he gets a chance to show his qualities at Bayern Munich too. He really has the quality to help the team in my opinion.
