Napoli going after Lukaku is a power move. But this whole situation is delicate. Conte's got every right to be frustrated after that early loss, and they desperately need a new striker, especially with Osimhen's head seemingly not in the game.

The deal's tricky though. Napoli's playing hardball with Osimhen's price tag, scaring off potential buyers. That means they cant fully commit to Lukaku yet. If they dont get Lukaku and Osimhen's still sulking, their attack could be in serious trouble this season.

It's quite surprising that Chelsea don't want Osimhen at the fair value and at the same time keeping Lukaku for no reason, this good offer might not happen again in the future, if I were Todd Boehly, I will do this deal ASAP.

But, Napoli can just sign Lukaku from Chelsea, so they will have two good strikers at the same time, this could be a good competition for both of them. If other team wants Osimhen, Napoli has a power to brag more fees.

I don’t still understand why clubs that are targeting prolific strikers are not looking at Sporting Lisbon striker, Viktor Gyokeres. He registered 51 goals in all competitions last season and I thought he was joining a big club this season.

In this summer transfers market where strikers and wingers have moved a lot, Gyokeres didn’t have even one suitor. Nobody held any talks. He kept scoring goals in the pre season games, took the form into the season, no talks.

PSG needed a striker but they didn’t go after Gyokeres. Tottenham paid £65m for Bournemouth Striker Solanke, who didn’t have a better season than Gyokeres.

Another great news for the Arsenal fan. They have struck an agreement in principle with Real Sociedad and the deal has been agreed. Mikel Merino will be playing for Arsenal he was signed with 33.5m Euro + 5m Euro add-ons. A 4-year contract since he is 28 years old. Funny enough he has played with Odegard and Isak. It is quite sad to see a player of his caliber leave Europe so early to join the Saudi team. But it is good to see that Saudi leagues being able to recruit players like Dybala and make their league quality better. The deal is also good for AS Roma as you have mentioned.

But I feel like he could have spent 3-4 more years of his prime in Europe and tried to win big things. He has always been in the shadows of the Argentina National team. He was doing somewhat good as well in Juventus and AS Roma. AS Roma currently has two big vacancies right now in their team, because Lukaku and Paulo Dybala have left. They have already signed a striker to try and fill the vacancy. They have drawn their first game of the new season so things are not looking very promising either. But it is still very early in the season and things might turn around.

Yeah man, it seems I was a little fooled by the previous news and as you have said if Dybala chooses to stay in Roma and rejects the offer from the Saudi league club.

It feels very good to see Dybala's passion who still wants to be at the top level, especially he seems to want to prove that he still deserves to be in the Argentine national team after the Copa America and then he was not called by Lionel Scaloni.

What Dybala did clearly really surprised us because previously he was very close to the Arab club and his desire to move was very big, to be honest, I don't know what is on Dybala mind right now, loyalty or stupidity?
I think he rejected the attractive offer from the Arabian clubs is one of the mistakes made by Dybala at the moment, maybe some people will think he has high loyalty but when the coach can't guarantee him a place in the main squad this season, wouldn't it be stupid to stay and waste the opportunity to retire with a suitcase full of money in the future?

Extraordinary is when players like Lewandowski declined offers from Saudi Arabia. Here we are talking about less than 3x which he could have made from going to Saudi Arabia. Dybala has a ton of money already and he knows that the next three years are the final years where he could reach some goals. It is not very likely that he is going to win the Scudetto with Roma, but maybe they can win the Coppa Italia or have another good run in the Europa League. I think the amount of money he was able to earn here was not close enough to his personal minimum threshold. It is possible that he would have said yes if it was €35 millon instead of €25 millon per year.

If you compare this to the €200 millon per year that Ronaldo is making then that is still a whole different story and beyond that salary Ronaldo is doing it for business purposes and subsequent potential deals in the Saudi Arabia area. I think there was some talk about a paid ambassador role until Saudi Arabia hosts the World Cup. And Ronaldo probably has more freedom and flexibility than Dybala would have if he went to Saudi Arabia. I could see how Dybala loses fun and can't play well and then dumps into a hole and feels lost in that part of the world. He doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who would feel comfortable over there.

Jordan Henderson left Liverpool because he thought he could make a lot of money. Keep in mind that he left Liverpool and tried to justify it in a very weird manner and then after a short period of time he firgured out it is not the right place for him and ended up playing in the Netherlands. Ajax Amsterdam is not a bad club, but he could still be playing in the Premier League if it wasn't for his money grab move to go to Saudi Arabia. I think that more and more players have figured out by now that money can't buy them everything and if they already have hundreds of millions or maybe 80 million in the bank, it is still a tough decision to waste three years of your life.

The well known names that go into the Saudi Professional League have quickly become less and less. I remember how everyone thought that the Saudi League would now buy the whole world of football and everyone would go there, but it quickly became obvious that they won't be able to maintain that level of transfers and salaries for everyone.

The thirty-three-year-old player can still be relied on by Manchester City for this season, but I don't think Gundogan can be as good as when he was still defending Manchester City or before he moved to Barcelona. However, if it's just for the midfield position, I don't think it would be wrong for Manchester City to rely on him again this season as long as the other lines are strong enough.
