I have a 6 GTX 1070 mining rig I just built a few days ago, and it works well except I noticed it has quite poor Equihash Excavator hashrate with NiceHash software. I am getting ~320 sol/s at stock settings and ~315 sol/s at 66% TDP +180 core -480 memory. I think other people are getting around ~400 sol/s at stock settings.

Any tips on how to fix or how I should troubleshoot it? Have tried: older version of NiceHash, Ethernet cable instead of WiFi Adapter, uninstalling and reinstalling GPU drivers (I will try DDU next), and using only one GPU at a time.

My rig:

you should try ewbf miner.  I've posted multiple times to nicehash, and they refuse to respond.   ewbf will give you 430-440 sol/s for a stock 1070.

Thanks for the advice. Have you noticed the same kind of low hashrate issue I am having with NiceHash?

I tried to download a ewbf miner, a release from this month, and Google Chrome canceled the download because it detected a virus, but probably it just doesn't like mining software. But to be on the safe side, could you link me the correct one?

Also, is there any guide online on how to set up ewbf miner? I have only had experience with NiceHash software when it comes to mining and probably won't be able to figure it out easily.

Thanks. I got Zec miner 0.3.3b and it didn't give me a virus warning. It comes with a Help.txt file, but it doesn't tell me how to set it up, it just has commands like "--help, -h          Show short help."

When I try to double-click miner.exe, it opens up and very soon after it closes, I can't read anything.

You need to modify the .bat file for the pool you want to mine at with your address and then run the .bat file

equihash uses memory speed to its benefit. overclocking the memory gives a good boost.

except with ewbf, i can run at stock speeds and get 440 sol/s per 1070.   but to get those same speeds with equihash, i would have to overclock...  Roll Eyes

Pop open a prompt, cd to directory of unzipped miner and exec the PE with the long or short help option above.
TLDR;
C:\Users\antibuddha> cd Downloads
C:\Users\antibuddha\Downloads> miner.exe -h

Super easy to use and a much better hashrate than excavator Cheesy

Create a batch file, or run this from a command prompt:

miner.exe --server equihash.usa.nicehash.com --pec --user YOURBITCOINADDRESS.YOURWORKERNAME --pass x --port 3357
