The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Also as I see it, most of us are decent people who are here because we believe in a common cause that is Bitcore, and want it to succeed.

I think FUD posters in the market come and go and as I have seen over the years, they tend to hop on any currency that becomes popular and try to derail it for whatever reason (affecting the price to buy low, their amusement, attention-seeking, etc.), and most of them post whatever they want no matter what we say to them or how much we argue with them. And for this reason, and also to save our time and energy for more important things, I've found the Ignore command in this forum very useful and I recommend using it (even frequently in some threads, like this one!).

Considering the plethora of ICOs, altcoin scams etc. I am really delighted about how things are going with Bitcore. You guys formed a lively community and probably helped the project going forward. Wink

I don't believe that what you are doing in this thread should be considered as FUD, I can appreciate your honest view of things as I believe both sides of a story has to be heard before anyone makes up their mind.

Haha well my criticisms these days have not been directed at BTX in specific but rather the entire setup of crypto in general. I am working on something huge that if it works will save this space and then we can call check to the banks and governments. I am only writing about it here and on telegram because I can hardly contain my excitement.  Grin

You are right in that there is a fine line between FUD and criticism. But as I've seen in the past few months, what you have posted tends to mostly fall on the former more than the latter. And I think it's wrong and not fair to the rest of the community/investors that someone who is a former member of the dev team acts this way for his personal gains.

If you have parted ways with the dev team, and have "free coins" as you've mentioned before, then why don't you just sell them for a still substantial profit and move on? I don't want to judge anyone, and I'm sorry if it offends you, but I think there is no reason for your actions in this community other than having bad intentions.

Personal gain? I lost 350k when I exited the crypto market a month ago. Even worse, I announced I was going to sell my BTX first before selling and then I probably lost more than I would have if I had said nothing. I talk on a lot of threads so its not like I'm exclusively here. I am very critical of BTX at the moment but most of the things I have said are valid. At times, I have also praised BTX as well. I just call things how I see it. I called for 5 dollar BTX a month ago due to inflation concerns and a bad market and everyone thought I was crazy. Well it turns out I just do math and use logic.  Grin

Well good for you for doing math and using logic. I assume you losing 350k as you're claiming was also the result of you doing math and using logic? Wink

FYI, publicly announcing selling your huge amount of any currency, while you are known as a (former) member of said currency's dev team, can affect some people's decisions, and is considered a FUD tactic in almost every market.

I just want to know that why your "criticisms" started only after you left the dev team? Coincidence? I don't think so.

Well I was at an ATH of around 1 million so I still made out good from 2017. There is nothing wrong with securing gains. At any rate, I don't want to reiterate things too much. The devs are stand up guys but I simply don't agree with them on a lot of things. My rationale for announcing it was to give everyone a fair chance. I had enough BTX to significantly impact the price so I would rather them know who and why than for them to say hmmm I wonder why the price dropped 8 dollars in a single day even before the weekly airdrop. Everything since has been simple economics rather than some boogeyman that spreads FUD. Being truthful and transparent can never be a bad thing. At any rate, I wont come back to this topic anymore. I have to go create the first price stabilized cryptocurrency on the market.  Wink

Hmm.. Now you've got me intrigued, please do share more when the time has come.. I always like new and different ideas when it comes to crypto Smiley.

Ill share the simple concept rather than the mechanism or algorithm I will use. My idea was that the major issue, ironically of course, with crypto is that it is doomed to be deflationary in nature. Deflation is just as bad as inflation so my idea was to stabilize the supply in relation to demand for the currency. More demand will mean more inflation to offset that demand. Less demand will mean deflation to offset the decrease in demand. All this would be done via algorithm and of course there would be no supply cap. If it were to stabilize things within a 10% range then we would have the first true decentralized currency instead of decentralized assets. Remember that there is no incentive to spend something that will only ever go up in price in the future given ample demand of course. Only the outliers of society will use such a thing out of beliefs rather than incentives. The masses will not adopt something that is unstable in valuation. Bitcoin and every crypto thereafter is currently unable to ever stabilize price. I suppose my algorithm would dissuade speculation to a great degree and it could potential be used as a reserve currency or the ultimate trading pair. It is basically USDT on steroids without being tied to a fiat currency or a third party. But I have a lot of work, research, and testing to see if it could actually work. But this would essentially be us calling check to governments and banks. Their main negative talking point about crypto is that it is unstable so if we remove those conditions then their criticisms start to look more petty. They will either bare the fangs and show everyone their true colors or they will capitulate and give us our economic freedom that we so much desire. Right now they can lie and claim they are protecting us from volatility. Anyways, I am not sure if this is a manifesto or a simple explanation but that's what I am working on.  Grin

Positivity through any adversity is indeed the key. Although you cannot stop some people in expressing their critics and views, what matters is that the dev behind the project continues to push further and doing everything necessary for BTX to be known and adopted. The whole community being alive is already the evidence of how this coin would be great in the future Smiley

I should also be welcome to stay if I please. I love how people preach about being against censorship when it is convenient for them to do so and then on the other hand start screaming FUD and tell people to leave when it is something they don't want to hear. Look... I will say this. Bitcore has won the scaling debate. Plain and simple. But that alone won't make a functioning currency. Hundreds of years of economic study cannot be ignored.

imo, the ones who blames gregory for btx price drop are at least childish (not to use a tough word), when the whole market is in a free fall tho he maybe had a little influence at the beginning but common few weeks have past and you are still blaming gregory Smiley) get over it bros. at least he was honest and told us about his "dump", and in these days (especially in the virtual world) honesty is a very rare attribute.

Did I say that there is anything wrong with securing your gains? No, not at all. What I meant was when I, myself, see that securing my gains is only possible at the expense of every other investors' profits and can possibly crash the whole market, I'll have second thoughts about doing what I want to do, and try not to be selfish and think of other members of the community too before doing anything.

The current devs are indeed stand up guys and from what I have seen of them, they are all around good and hard working people, no doubt about that.

You just can't say that everything has been economics since after your announcement, because, let me say this with an example;

Imagine you are standing beside a huge stack of woods, and everything is nice and quite. But then you pour gas on a single piece of those woods, set it on fire and then place it near the rest of them, then, of course, everything will happen according to the laws of chemistry and the whole stack of woods starts to burn and will be destroyed. I'm sorry but the real world does not work like that and you can't just say that it's economics that I selfishly decided to crash the whole market with a wrong move.

OK, since you are probably not coming back to this thread as you said (but I doubt it Wink), I wish you success in your next projects. And one last note; there is something that I've always believed in and it's that what goes around, comes around.

Yeah, even if he dumped close to 20k coins it's over now.

However, he does spend a lot of time defending himself and may be considered by many as a snake in the grass.

If all his ideas and market predictions are playing out, then he should have enough cash from the dump to fund his own crypto endeavor.

Maybe then he'll learn how hard it is to please the crypto community and develop a sound project.

Other than that, his words are just opinion and moot for me because my predictions are my own and I'm not gonna put blame on one person for a drop.

But, at the same time, that isn't saying his hands are clean.  A silent drop very well may have had less of an impact on the market.

He deserves some backlash and criticism for putting himself out there.

Can't scream for attention and then be upset if you get it!

At any rate, I wont come back to this topic anymore. I have to go create the first price stabilized cryptocurrency on the market.  Wink

Thank you... And you are welcome to leave..
Don't mind hmm I'm just joking.. Any way good bye😂😂

You talk too much...👿 We know what btx is capable of and not... BTX is still in development phase and we can't expect 100% from it overnight. It needs time to be fully functional..
Now the first priority is the distribution of the coins. There is also a roadmap which will eventually be achieved I hope..

May I ask, What you have done for Btx ? You may shout a lot,, but You know what - " An empty vessel always sounds much"

The truth is - Anyone can do far better than you with the money you got for delivering some foolish hopes. The devs failed to realize that..

You are such a  insane, it seems you are expecting a a baby to be born in 2 months instead of 10 months 🤐
