Ok so basically all of us that use hardware wallets are out of these snapshot airdrops due to not being able to get to our private keys. Thats a bit unfair, it would be good for the team to reach out to these manufacturers (at least Trezor and Ledger) and try to get them on board.
It is possible to get the priv. Keys from a Trezor, but not recommended!!

Well unfortunately I have a Ledger wallet and did not find a way to do it yet (note that ive already emptied it and transferred Bitcoins to another one for security reasons, so I dont care what happens with this one, thus having no issues getting the private keys).

If you have your ledger seed you can import it on electrum and then claim BTX, it should work.

There’s a lot of trolls in this thread that obviously have more time than money. Don’t feed them. This is a multi million dollar professional development and there’s plenty of info already.

Could anyone tell me how to find out my public key? It is required to input it into the airdrop form, but I can't see it anywhere in my wallet.

Yeah, they... again.. messed it up. @devs: Why do you do that? Sometimes I get the feeling you don't know what you're doing... You should put your address (which is the hash of your public key) in the first box.

Ive already imported it into Electrum, however im unable to export private keys or wallet.dat file to claim BTX. Or is there something im just not seeing? As far as I understand in order to claim, I etiher need to import provate keys to the BTX wallet or copy/paste wallet.dat file to the BTX wallet folder. None of these seems to be possible with Ledger + Electrum.

Dev Team why not use Single Address wallets?
Byteball switched there multi sig wallets to single address wallets because they had a lot of complaints from there users that the wallet was to difficult and confusing to use especially for things like the Airdrops, I know security concerns are a issue but could the Dev team at least open up the idea for discussion between themselves and the community to see what people think of the idea, i might be having the wrong idea for even suggesting this but i would prefer a simpler wallet.

You leave me speechless... Security is not only an issue, it's one of the main concepts of crypto currencies and one time usage of addresses is also one of them. Because the first time you sent coins from an address it's public key pops up in the blockchain and therefore is vulnerable. And please stop always talking about multisig wallets. They have nothing to do with what you mean. A multisig wallet or address is a completely other concept then the reuse of addresses. If you want to know what multisignature means, have a look here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Multisignature
