ISO 4217

The international standard for currency codes (ISO 4217) for Bitcore is XCO.
Currently BTX is used for all exchanges, a slow transition to the international standard XCO will be implemented slowly during the years 2018 – 2020.

Sorry, I should have quoted it before, my bad. Thanks Vlad.
Interesting that XCO coin already exists...

Maybe, most of them are not approved however.
Not even XBT for Bitcoin is approved currently.

We are considering different alternatives already. This is however only one of many minor points on our schedule.

XCO is not listed on the ISO list of active currencies.  He must be referring to crypto which is irellevant.

Edit:  May I recommend XTB?  It’s not being used anywhere.   Grin

Yep, I was referring to crypto. So ISO abbreviation is something totally different? I probably need to do some more research about it Smiley

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Crypto is the Wild West, you just take any name and symbol you want unless it’s trademarked and few are.

But why make waves if they’re not stuck on XCO, use XTB.  Really close to XBT.  It flows, it works much better when it comes to trading and FX markets.

See?

Large exchanges did not add BTX into the market because BTX would kill BTC.

....

Looking at the dogs with $20+ billion caps...

Minimum $5,000.   Grin

$5000 for 1 Bitcore?!

Bitcore is faster than Bitcoin and has its own blockchain + it's even rare.

Hell yeah, if this happens.

Never sell all your Bitcore.

I think good times are going to happen, once

the airdrops are finished.

Bitcoin has its own blockchain and is just as rare.   Roll Eyes

BTX has better distribution, much more capacity, much faster, much more decentralized mining/security, and can innovate much faster than BTC and they also have their own funding so they won’t be beholden to banks/corporations to grow and innovate.

It’s all around a much better payment system than BTC.

Just look at this:

Bitcore:
Maximal Supply: 21 million coins
Maximal Blocksize: 10 MB (20 MB SegWit)
Blocktime: 2.5 minutes
Blockchain: own blockchain (NOT a fork!)

Blockchain Size: ca. 400 MB
Mining Algorithm: timetravel10 (GPU)
Difficulty Algorithm: smooth Diff64_15: 15%, 3 hours
Distribution: airdrops, claiming via snapshot (for BTC holders), mining
Maximal transactions per day: ca. 48 million
SegWit: yes
Replay Protection: not necessary

Bitcoin:
Maximal Supply: 21 million coins
Maximal Blocksize: 1 MB (2 - 4 MB SegWit)
Blocktime: 10 minutes
Blockchain: own blockchain (NOT a fork!)

Blockchain Size: ca. 145 GB
Mining Algorithm: sha256 (ASIC)
Difficulty Algorithm: standard BTC: 400%, 2 weeks
Distribution: mining
Maximal transactions per day: ca. 1.2 million
SegWit: yes
Replay Protection: not necessary

Bitcore = 48 / 1,2 = 40 times faster than Bitcoin!

I think Bitcore is too cheap right now.

The community is growing, there are active developers.

Great post, can anyone explain in detail the benefits of Mining Algorithm: timetravel10 (GPU)?

XTB does have a nice ring to it actually.
Easy to remember and switch over to from XBT, once Bitcore takes over, heh.
Really close to BTX as well, BTX written in reverse even.

I have a similar question.  I’d like to know how long this PoW algo can remain ASICS resistant.  Thx.

I think $100 is way too low, considering the value of Bitcoin Gold, Super Bitcoin that are only hard forks and not faster than Bitcore.

What is your price predictions for Bitcore (BTX) in 2018::::?

I think around $100
....

I'll stick with my price target from last month!  ...below Wink

$20 for January 2018
$100 for June 2018
$400 in January 2019

ETA for BTX to hitbtc?

About 20Hours  Smiley I am watching the war in the troll box BTG vs BCH war. Wait till BTX in the mix hahaha
i don't need to watch . won't sell under $70  Cheesy

Hell no 70 is way too low. Maybe 700 Grin

We have a lot obstacles until $70   ... first the correction will be  around 10 - 13$. And if every thing is normal then will goin up again.

If BTG can hold $150+ value, the is no reason why BTX could not maintain $100-$400 value over the long run.
I'm bullish on BTX and with the airdrop, I don't plan to sell anytime soon.

My price target was $20 for January, which already reached. My next target is $100 by June 2018 and $400 by January 2019.

My goal is to accumulate as many BTX as possible in my crypto portfolio.

BTX  is technically superior than BTG,, but BTG is traded in almost all top exchanges atm... More over free marketing through different channels also played role determining BTG price..

BTX is emerging rapidly,,As Awareness, recognition, merchant acceptance ,ways to exchange will increase so the price will...

It should be around $100-$200 within 2019..
One Example of BTX Recognition : Back in few months ago when I Googled Bitcore and it's future prospects, few results were shown relating to BTX.. But  the scenario has significantly changed now..You will find lots of information regarding Bitcore.. including  listing in different currency index websites.. These are great signs👦

Name recognition is sometimes more important than technical superiority. That's why crap coins like Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Cash are valued so much higher than Bitcore. It's the name recognition and the ridiculous amount of marketing by Roger Ver. He's constantly on CNN shilling his BCASH coins. That's a ridiculous amount of free publicity. We need to somehow get some of that free publicity to play in our favor, but I'm willing to wait until the airdrops are done before we do that.

Bitcoin Cash just got added to Coinbase! There you have it people. Name recognition, ridiculous volume, fantastic marketing and using Bitcoin in the name of your coin and it's a rap. Bitcoin Cash will probably go to 15K by March if not sooner. Congratulations to Roger Ver and his cronies. He forked Bitcoin in August and by December it was added to Coinbase. Checkmate.
