Fist time trying to mine and followed the tutorials. I grabbed the spmod2 file from the official Facebook group (updated Dec 15th, 2017). Windows defender is throwing a fit about ccminer, stating the trojan win32/Vagger!rfn is contained in the file and immediately quarantines it. I could turn off windows defender but that makes me nervous. I looked into past threads on bitcointalk and I see references that this was fixed.
Suggestions?
Sorry had long and bad day today so couldn't come back to you earlier... Suggestion would be to check your Windows Defender quarantine, restore the file to original folder and do the exclusion so by next scan it won't be quarantined again. Not sure how to done it in WinDef as I use another AV software, but this way it works and you don't need to turn off WinDef (which I wouldn't recommend). |

Very nice to see BitCore in it's rightful place now on coinmarketcap. Yes, absolutely. Now people who don't know Bitcore and want to check the numbers yet can have a better estimate on the position that it has in cryptoland. This could mark the beginning of a new wise in the price |

too long roadmap, in couple months when airdrop will finish, we will touch the ground. How can you put " q3 2018 new exchanger" ? are you serious?
Seems you miss the point of a roadmap. Also new exchanges will come in Q1 too, not only Q3, if you actually bother to read the roadmap properly. --ypsi He seems to be pointing to an inevitable crash after the airdrops end... I wonder what would be the logic in that. To me it seems that the airdrops were priced in during november when the BTX/BTC price dropped from over 0.004 to its current level. When the airdrops end, I'd expect some dumping to happen, but by then we should be higher on the CMC ranking too. There will be some dumping after the airdrops ends that for sure , but also there will be no more flooding of new BTX on the market, and the difficulty for mining will by then be much much higher. What is the reasoning behind these dumps you postulated? Of course if too many people expect that to happen it will for no other reason than that, but then people will try to dump early etc. It's hard to speculate what will happen. BTX community is made by two type of people: those who hold BTC because they like the coin and they think it has a future, and those who don't care about the coin and they just want the airdrops. Many people enter the community as part of the latter, but in time they understand the virtues of the coin and change their attitude. There may be some sort of dump as it happened with Byteball, when the airdrop stopped, but the consequences wouldn't last more than a few months - if at all. |

No worries buddy. Thank you so much for any help. I hope today improves. I went with the exclusion and moved on. I am now mining BTX!!! I am getting an average of 21.37. In your experience, is that reasonable? GeForce 1080 SPMOD2 Intensity 23 MSI settings: Power limit 100% Core Clock: +75 Memory Clock: +500

That is just awesome been waiting on this news for months now! I even wrote those guys a few times to get them to change it I guess they finally listened . By the time the distribution is done all we will need is mini pump to get us in the top 100 and then it is on like donkey kong  . |

Great to see you mining:), welcome to the gang and BTX I got around 16 on 1070 / 13 on 1060 (6GB) / 12 on 1060 (3GB), thus around 21 on 1080 seems reasonable to me. On 1070 I have power limit to 70%, Core +0 and Memory +577 In your case I would try playing bit more with Clocks (specially memory) to get some extra hashrate, but depends how much risky you'd like to go - if you have only 1 card probably not much. Enjoy BTX and mining:)! |
