Started dabbling in it when BTC was around 10 bucks. I remember thinking that I should buy a couple just for the novelty of it, but trying to buy them back then with anything but a wire transfer or cash was hard. Shortly after it rose to around 30$ and I was thinking "Woah, if I would have bought a few I could have made a 20 dollar profit". Never did I think it would go to almost $2000. I got my first bitcoins from freebitco when it was around $300. When price grow up to $500, I bought 0.25 BTC. I spent only 0.1 BTC and now I think about selling the rest because I'm scared of bubble.

If I can remember I entered the amount of 1 bitcoin is already at $400 and I really considered that very high but right now the price is truly high. I wish that I was one of those people that mined when the difficulty is still not that high and the price was still on a single digit value. For sure those people are already rich now.
Not necessarily, if you bought at 10 then the temptation to sell when the price was 50 would have been too much to bear, so I think unless the person was completely convinced about bitcoin, then many took the opportunity and sold when they had the chance.

I remember i started learning about bitcoin was a year ago, and i was also about to create my account here, and the price of bitcoin that time was only $500-$600, i guess? And it was a big regret that i dont invest money to buy bitcoin that time. If I only invested my money to buy bitcoin that time, i think my money got doubled or tripled by this time. But now i dont think about the past, im just saving my bitcoin for now, and wait for its value to increase more and more, then withdraw if needed.

I purchased by first coins in May 2014. Back then, I purchased BTC0.1 at the rate of $600 per coin, on top of 5% commission from Localbitcoins. That was the only time I purchased coins. The rest of my holding came from freelancing and sig campaigns.

Wow that is good that you are still keep holding bitcoin for long term and you don't spend that 0.1 and you are just accumulating bitcoin for a long run which is the best to do right now. I also buy some bitcoins with that price but i sold them for 900 USD which is very regretful for me but i will buy back if the price will reach at least 1400 USD.

I was pretty late in the game. Bought my first full bitcoin when it was a little over  $900.

I haven't had bought bitcoin and even mined as well because I don't have enough money to buy bitcoin or a mining hardware, I am just trying to earn it before from different ways and later on from signature campaign and the first time that I earned my first satoshis the price was only at $600 . I know that my answer is different from the question but I am just sharing my experience Grin

I have never bought. Never sold. Though I have a fragment in my wallet which I got through faucets and signature campaign. I came into Bitcoin in December 2016 and registered on this form in January 2017.

800USD Smiley in 2013 I have joined at end of the bubble but that was hard lesson.
Since that time I have focused more on alts as 2nd bitcoin than BTC itself.
Slowly overtime I have relized that BTC can be only one while we will have multiple new BTC every year.
Coins come coins .

I had 24 bitcoins that I bought from $4.00 to $150.
I had them stolen by Mt Gox and other exchanges that closed,
then I gambled some of them away
and sold the rest.

70 USD when I first heard about Bitcoin. I didn't purchase any Bitcoin back then, in fact, I have never purchase any Bitcoin. All I did a few years back was collecting small amount of Bitcoin from faucets. I managed to made ten cents in a week. Knowing that the profit of ten cents per week is low, I stopped and continued gaming.

When the price hit 1000 USD. I opened my MultiBit wallet and was very happy to see that my ten cents worth of Bitcoin grew 10x and I earned my first dollar from the internet. I joined back the cryptocurrency industry and earn even more Bitcoin from signature campaign.

Not going to write a long story here. You can check my other post for my story in the cryptocurrency world. Anyway, in short, when I first joined, the price of Bitcoin is only 70 USD.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!
