Bitcoin can reach 3000 USD in a year ?

Hard to believe $3000 has been such a dream just a few months ago!  

I also didn't expect the $3000 level to become reality this year, and especially not in January this year, but we are very close. Precisely speaking (for what it's worth), OKCoin just peaked over $3040 in both its CNY and USD platforms. It's now waiting for western exchanges to pick up, but that might take a while now Chinese exchanges don't have any leading role anymore.

Not yet there, but it seems its gonna climb to that soon. Let's just hope the future corrections would be minimal.

Yes I think you're right at this certain thinking mate, I see were not yet there to have $3000 of bitcoin price and although the signs of progress is there in every price changes in the market; not assurance for us that $3000 will be reach while price corrections is always struggling. Price bubble has been a specutions since btc was around below $1000 and there's no actual proof about it, and all I believe is that supply and demand always takes place.

Many people consider such a forecast to be correct and this can happen even much faster than by the end of this month. The popularity of bitcoin is high and new users join it.

Yes! I really think that way too, that this month will be the best to see the price of bitcoin would reach $3000, we are surely nearing it because as of now the price is $2800 right now, I am expecting a lot of support from other countries market to pump up the value of bitcoin, and by July we can surely Speculate another rise and a new speculation regarding a whole new country that will accept bitcoin and that will be Australia.

It's funny that at first I didn't noticed this thread was posted almost two months ago and only realized that it was after I had read some comments or replies which has a negative opinion regarding to the price probably they already realized that bitcoin will surely be able to hit $3000 and maybe even higher within this year as they can see the current price as well as how many months left before the year 2018

to me we have already crossed 3000 $ in some exchanges, but according to preev.come today the price of bitcoin was trading 2950$ but after that the price of bitcoin fell down to 2400$ which is a huge drop. but it is just a correction and hot a panic selling because people are still giving support to bitcoin and very soon the price of  bitcoin will recover its previous position when the correction will over.

It is really incredible to see the rally in bitcoin,but today we were on the brink of breaching the milestone and could not sustain it for a longer time because people began booking their profits and we had a very good correction and we are having a good resistance to cross the barrier as this is the second or third time we are seeing a correction after trying to breach $3000.

Preev takes its exchange rates from several exchanges at the same time, and then calculates the average price, and that's what they show you. That explains why the rate that Preev is showing you is lower than the rates from various other exchanges. Other than that, it's a normal correction that has taken place -- there are still a lot people that need to close their positions before we can finally move further. If you were waiting to enter the market, then go ahead and use this correction in your advantage.

$3000 is psychologically important and it is natural that people book profits. But the current drop is something more than people booking profits. It looks like a section of investors is getting out. Usually profit booking doesn't result in such a substantial (~20%) fall in profits,

Many people are investing now in bitcoin. A lot of companies too are supporting it but the bitcoin today is having a hard time to hit the $3000 but it will hit it in the future. I'm expecting the bitcoin will hit the $5000 the next year.

More investment is coming into bitcoin as well big adoption too is happening. From the days of Japan entering into bitcoin more Countries have been showing interest towards bitcoin. Actually 3000$ has been reached by the bitcoin last day but as usuall it sudden dumps since many people dump their hodl coin by that time and we should not be afraid of these dumps since it means that their would be another stretch happening unto it and maybe by this year another bitcoins milestone will be listed and provably 3500-4000$ will be set for this year around.
