I have bookmarked this thread since the very beginning and here and then I come by to see if anything has changed since the last time but everything remains the same. It's sad but this is a reality we have to face with. I think next time when ordering something we should only choose those who accept to be paid upon delivery. There is no other way around, i guess. Trust can be easily broken and violated. Lesson learnt, right?

I recommend you to stop digging, otherwise you will uncover more dirty secrets from Barry!  Shocked (Well that was a joke, a sarcastic one!)
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Finding information is the easy part, have a folder bookmark that contains 4-5 more links to stuff. He is active here but thinks he can avoid this.

He should just repay me so he can have this behind him, until he does I'll make sure he is reminded. The longer he takes the worse it will be for him.

Doesn't seem like he has any sort of motivation to pay you at the moment. He's not even trying to deny that he doesn't owe you anything and it's been quite a while since he last commented on this thread.

You might just want to post as much info as you have on him on the investigations board unless he demonstrates a willingness to repay and works out a new schedule with him.

And good find on his bitbonds profile, there is indeed one defaulted loan of 2 btc. He's from Australia so I wonder if bitkilo could help on this case?

An update, Barry offered 'terms' on repaying the amount owed on the 15th that would require this thread to be deleted, the service warning thread to be deleted, all of the posts in the coin thread for MoonCoin, and all negative feedback removed.

I did not agree to those terms and he hasn't bothered contacting me since then. I'm not going to cover up what he did in order to get my money back, not happening.
Sorry, those are fucked up terms--but if that's what it would take to get my money back, I'd probably agree with them.  And then start another thread once the bitcoin came in.  lol

Good luck with this.  It always sucks when a respectful respected member here scams, and we've seen it all too often.  There's no decency with people here.  They're all a bunch of knaves.

Why don't you legalize the matter? 0.3BTC (1290$)is my 5 weeks pay.

It would cost me more than it's worth to pursue it through the court system and I highly doubt he has the funds to repay me regardless of a court order. It's far easier to let the court of public opinion lay judgement in the aim of preventing this from happening to others.

I want my BTC back yes, but above that I just don't want others to have the same unfortunate experience as I have had with him.

CryptoDatabase received working source, an active node and a compiled wallet.
The issue was that it was a week late.

Hard pressed to call it 'fucked up' terms when I literally created none of those posted items (Service warning, Scam accusation, posts in Mooncoin thread); and simply wished them to be removed. Talk about having your cake and eating it too - he got what was requested, albeit late, I still was ok with paying him back after admitting I did drop the ball in terms of timing.

CryptoDatabase would have been paid back a long time ago had he simply agreed to remove the threads (after, not before receiving payment).

This is still an open scam report, his last mail to me was just more excuses from him on why he refuses to repay me.

Hello all and good evening CryptoDatabase,

To those not following; I modified the old HYPER codebase to start from a fresh chain, with longer block times.
He had been sent all relevant code and binaries; and the node was running. Our final talk 4-5 days later revealed he was unhappy for whatever reason; even though the product was up and running - and he'd been sent all of coinbase.

https://github.com/barrystyle/hyper2-evidence complete with intact timestamps (I thought i'd lost this, but was found a few days ago).

Hope you are keeping well,
barrystyle

There were no nodes, you refused to send the entire swap balance over only doing it in parts and never sent the full amount, and then you disappeared forcing me to contact others for the job. 4-5 days late? Try 2 months late after you claimed I'd have it within a week. Funny enough the other folks I hired after you kept fucking around did exactly as I wanted in the 1 weeks time they quoted me.

You are only hurting yourself by refusing to repay me, as evidenced by your negative trust here. You should just man up and pay your debts instead of trying to come up with excuses hoping it will go away.

0.3 BTC is owed to me by you, the longer it takes you to repay then the worse it becomes for you. Guess you do have more to worry about legally though, with even more debt owed to people you borrowed money from and never repaid.
