Hi all, had to join the forum cause every time I google something about bitcoin this the first one to pop up  Grin

I do not live in the US neither in Europe, I live in a caribbean country which lowers the exchanges list to a few.

Currently Im buying from CEXIO but they don't always have a good price for bitcoin, I have tried Okcoin but looks that those chinese guys have some trouble reading spanish because it's been impossible to get verified so I cannot buy anything. Others like coinbase check my IP and say bye bye to me from the beggining. And finally there's LBC and Paxful but..well..price and trust stops me all the time.

What other good choices do I have left, considering my location?

Why would trust stop you from buying Bitcoins on LBC? I've heard of plenty of people that have had their first Bitcoin purchase on LBC with only their email address verified.

I have tried VPN, but when the exchange needs to verify mi ID it all goes to hell.

The high trusted sellers from LBC charge way too much, same price as CEXIO and some even more expensive, decent price sellers are not so trustable.

What I call "decent price" it's 1 or 1.5% over the index price.

Obviously they have identification requests to prevent money laundering, tax fraud and whatnot.

LBC rates are normal for buying on such a market. Obviously they are going to be different than buying from a exchange directly. Otherwise, why would anyone be doing high volume trading there? To trade at a loss?

What payment options are you planning on? International bank transfer? You may be able to find someone here willing to sell some Bitcoin to you, but be wary of scammers. Use escrow.

Yeah international bank transfer would be my choice, you mentioned escrow, how exactly can that work on a user to user transaction? since I will be the one buying bitcoins.

Localbitcoins is good. I think it supports any country. You should buy there. Theres many payment options you can. You can also choose whats the best price. Thats the good thing about LBC. I think LBC is the most people use when buying btc. But c-cex.io is good too. You can try also bitstamp. They always have the lowest price. About your language. Its seems fine. You dont have to speak english too long.

Well basically it's like this:
You find a seller that seems trustworthy and wants to use an escrow. He sends the Bitcoins (that you're supposed to receive) to said escrow. Escrow waits for confirmation of payment from the other side. Once they have received your bank transfer, they can release the Bitcoin to you.

Well as for OKPay I see in Italy they are only asking about 2 %, 1BTC at preev now 889 Euro, Asking in LBC 905 Euro. Check all payment systems in LBC, maybe you can find what you are looking for, you just have to have more possibility of payments rather than credit card, paypal or skrill.

I would also agree that an International Bank transfer is one of your better choices.

i would even ask around to a few of the people offering escrow, if they can receive your payments then im sure they would be happy to sell some of their stockpiled bitcoins!

Thank you all for the help and advise, I've been writing all this down  Smiley. I did found an exchange called Livecoin, it actually has profile here on this forum and so far it's going good with them.

I funded the account with old school wire transfer, fees are decent, prices are good and support is fast. Happy for now.
