Hey every,

I too... am a Newb.  haha, but i'm excited to be apart of this.

Long story short, I've set up a GPU miner with some spare parts.  It's been about a week of trial and error and I think i have it running.  Well... 50% running.

I'm running:
Windows 7
GUIminer  (solo)  Averaging 275 Mhash/s
MSI Afterburner
ATI Saphire 5970 @ Core Clock 900Mhz  Core Volt 1175  Memory  650   Fan 55%  Temp 71

Unfortunately, after all of the software changes I had to do... from one driver version to the next (currently ATI catalyst 11.12) and installing Windows 7, it seems I can only get one GPU to work on the 5970.  While in GUIminer, I have three options under devices.... [0-0] Cypress,  [0-1] Cypress, [0-2] Intel Core 2 Duo CPU.  Right now i've got one miner going with [0-0] Cypress and the CPU Affinity 0 & 1 checked off.  As soon as I either de-select one of the CPU Affinities or start a new miner with a different device (example using [0-1] Cypress), the Mhash/s rate drops dramatically!  Sometimes into the Khas/s zone.  Whats going on here? Can anyone help?  I'm mining solo.

Thanks!
