Hello Bitfolks!
Some time ago, I posted my apartment for rental in Malta, but many of you didn't see the point in taking it.
Now, everything could make more sense, since the Malta Government Cabinet is drafting a strategy to regulate and attract bitcoin and blockchain based companies.
Premier Muscat: "We need to be a frontline country when it comes to this innovation; we cannot wait for the regulators to reach their conclusions and then have to copy what other countries are already doing."

Here you can find the new> https://news.bitcoin.com/malta-approves-national-strategy-draft-embrace-bitcoin/

Therefore I renew my offer to host any good blockchain guru for free in my nice apartment in Malta, to teach me as much as possible.

https://ibb.co/nuuzgF
https://ibb.co/iZ3EFa
https://ibb.co/k8G1va
https://ibb.co/jF1ZF

If you are not a guru, but just a bitcoin passionate, I can still host you for just 0.2 BTC a week!

Remember that the place is few steps away from the beach and it is also the heart of the nightlife, so you can have even a lot of fun! Smiley

Cheers and may the innovation be with you!

This is another great news today. I believe this will pump the price more up in days to come. Malta government laws to attract bitcoin and blockchain base investment will reduced the infect of dollars on their economic and by this they local currency will get more strength on international markets.

Good news. Seems Malta will really benefit from being first to try to implement wide use of it in their country. I know it's a rather small Mediterranean island but I'm surprised at how progressive it is in its stance. (Well, it is no longer part of the no-divorce club, that's something.)

Well, I hope the innovations that would be made in Malta could serve as an example for wider use of Bitcoin else where.

BTW OP, why are you offering your apartment to strangers? Aren't you at least a bit nervous?

This is another positive news for bitcoin followers specially in Malta. Its they are going to adopt bitcoin in their country, It will open a lot of cashflow to the bitcoin ecosystem and will probably push the price of bitcoin further. Its like everyday, a lot of nation are discovering what the bitcoin can do for their own nation financially that's why they are moving to bitcoin now.

Who knows if this is going to end up doing anything based on the simple fact that the EU could simply just put out some sort of rule saying that they don't condone the use of Bitcoin and malta would kinda be forced to stop whatever this rule pertains to. Though, I do think it's wonderful that people in the government there are activitely trying to promote the usage of the wonderful Blockchain AND Bitcoin, I don't think it'll ever come to law.

Think of it like this, Governments want to have control over the currency that is being used within their country. If they do this, they wouldn't have control over the money being used within their own boarders. They'd be giving it up to a decentralized community such as Bitcoin.

I just don't see a reason for a government doing this in the least, it's kinda dumb for them.

I think they are embracing bitcoin just for the sake of its flourishing gambling industry. We all know that bitcoin is widely used at form of deposit now, unlike before it all fiat, and Malta is one country that has a lot of on-line casinos so its more likely for a country like them to adopt bitcoin so that they business will continue to flourish and maybe they can attracting bitcoin customers to play on their online gambling site.

I'll have to agree with you on this one bud, they're just going to do it to get some money from the gambling sites which will flock their if their license fees are lower than other countries such as Curaco, and others. I'd have to say I highly doubt that Malta, a country with a population of around 460,000 was really going to do much to bitcoin nor use it on a daily basis in the least.

Yet again, politicians and government are going to follow the money and this is where the money is if they're allowing hosting for gambling sites to occur in their country. Simple, and I get it.

Fuckin eh!

Well.. I have a question regarding Japan. Recently the American SEC rejected the Winkelwii ETF application. Why can't they list the ETF in some Japanese stock exchange? Now the government has legalized and recognized BTC in Japan. So the chances are much brighter.

Meeting strangers is part of my life. I already host people on couchsurfing and airbinb. Now I want to do the same at the next level! ;-)
