You are basically saying that anyone who knows how to write basic HTML,CSS & JavaScript should be able to make a scam. That's somehow true but who's fault is it? It's the user who actually send the funds and don't use his brain, everyone knows that bitcoin is irreversible so you should always do your own research before sending anything to anyone. If only each user that find a new service, actually asks about it on the forums, I'd say that we could reduce scams by at least 80%

All bitcoin related hyip/lottery/donation/mlm are just scams and sooner or later everybody gonna know that. But most of newbie easily fall into this types of get rich quick schemes.

To be honest, I dont see anything concerning about this screenshot, it just looks like some kind of a gambling site, where you can deposit your funds to have a change of winning the jackpot prize.
That is why I dont understand what is the main point in showing this picture if it does not really prooves that making a scam site is easy.

But I think that there is no doubt, and everyone knows that already. As an experienced bitcoin user, I can easily proove that it is very easy to get some profits out from the crypto newbies, who are do not understand the mechanics, but they want to earn money from some kind of an investment. So the scammers attract such a new-borns with unbelievable returns. As far as i know, it works for them

Yeah I agree with you that we need to get our guard up because at this new age they are targeting Bitcoin now as they are taking advantage of people who are new to it. From having an affordable way to have a domain name and hosting for your site its inevitable that this sites will pop up. From HYIPs claiming that they are an orig company to doubling sites we should be aware of it. I myself is a victim of those sites several times now, and from what I learned is that I need to stop in order not to be fooled again.

People should be more vigilant nowadays regarding their BTC. Bitcoin users should always be alert in this kind of sites and should never send BTC to them. But at the end of the day, people get scammed by them because these users are very greedy and just wanted to "make" more bitcoin. They just wanted to have easy money but in reality, they are just throwing their BTC to those scammers.

Thats why we must do research and make sure that the website is trustworthy and secure.... There are even phishing websites that looks the same as the original one, so yeah always need to even double check the URL

Whoever would fall in scams that are created in .tk domains are either plainly dumb or simply don't care about their money. Because of bitcoin's widespread success, people who have bad intentions would really target gullible users and ultimately, these users would blame bitcoin for losing money, which is nuts.

Thanks for the heads up. This is nothing new and unique. We have seen many scam attempts in the past and will be seeing even more in the future.
You know what is the best way to stay way from scams? Your own common sense. If something is too good to be true it is fake.
Think twice before sending your bitcoin to someone you don't know. There is no refund in bitcoin's world.

Sites like this are completely obvious and anyone who puts money in without checking how reputable the site is carefully (fake reviews are usually obvious too) deserve to lose it, frankly.

When it comes to slightly less obvious programs (like Ponzis) people can just buy scripts for really cheap and put up the sites without really any effort at all.  That part is important for everyone to know.

people are still falling for it even with all the warnings though. if they do, i think they deserve it as they are all helping the scammers to scam. its a motivation to the scammers. these people are in a hurry to get money back. in fact they always wanted to be the first to send btc to these doubles in hopes to be the first to get paid and put testimonials as well.

Yes it is so easy to create a scammed site nowadays, with little knowledge of programming then you can create a scammed site, and the programming can be learn online or even asked somebody to make it for you in a cheap price, and that is not the only thing that you need to worry you also need to aware of suspicious link that can install malware to you computer because it is also can be learned online, the most important thing is always aware and be smart, find the info before you try to send your coin to someone's address

It's easy to create scam site. Mostly HYIP.
1. Basic HTML , CSS , Javascript skill or for those peoples who are lazy to create those stuff can make a pre-made template and just add some features.
2. Pretending to have a certificate to prove they are legal.
3. "Senior" on Bitcoin's world hiring newbie to invest on those scam site just for affiliate program.

Ponzi and doublers scripts are being sold with a cheap prize and these sellers also offer to make the buyer a package of a scam site so yes it's too easy for them to make these scam sites. You don't have to be a genius or even have a basic knowledge in coding because everything about that ponzis are easy. You can get easy money but your money can easily be stole too. People should just stop entertaining them so that no one will be scammed again.

to bring them down and name and shame the people behind them,it is not possible
when you fight scam sites or scams in general you do not fight the sites or companies  (although they got to be exposed as scams and people should be warned)
but one should increase awareness and knowledge level so people can check themselves if the site or a company is legit or not
and are not blinded by their greed and stupidity,so they do not feed scammers and encourage their further increase in numbers

Some people really need to commit mistakes before they can learn even though it's not necessary . Yes they are helping scammers but I think these scammers are something that's permanent in our lives, Since in the past people who deceive other people for their personal gain have existed, they are just changing their ways as the time pass by . The fact that some people lived with them without getting scammed means they've adapted to it .
Those people of today who are getting victimized or still showing interest to some unbelievable offers didn't bother to adapt just like they didn't bother to read/think .

No matter how much you will warn people they will keep fall for it again and again and again . i can link you few threads here in this forum with people get scammed no need for fancy site or anything just dump thread and 3 newbie account vouch will do it . there is a thread that have 3 pages full of warning that op of the thread is scamming and yet turn the 4th page to see some one still got scammed ( LOL ) . ( Maybe some people love getting scammed so they can tell there offline friends a story about how they got scammed dealing with BTC  )

Of course for people like us, it's easy to say common sense, logic and brains but spare a thought for actual newbies who simply haven't had the time nor experience to learn this "common sense". We forget that we once started out and did not have this common sense.

I remember in the 90s teaching my parents to use email. My mom had replied to a 416 scam email, luckily she told me about it. Now my mom isn't a Mensa candidate but can't say she had no brains. It's just the way things were for a 40+year old experiencing email when my town welcomed its first ISP.

It isn't true that "everybody knows X about Bitcoin". It isn't smart to keep saying "do your research".

That been said... and this is just my opinion: most people who get "scammed" and whine on forum probably understood the risks prior to sending off their Bitcoins but greed got the better of them. When the gamble doesn't work out, they wail over spilt milk.

Aside for the domain i tagged for myself that any online investment site who doesn't show some strong proof is consider by as scam thats why its pretty rare for me to see on that scene since im pretty much aware and well educated about it and its truly much better if newbies will seek some feedbacks and guidance here so that can avoid losses for such untrue promise of earnings.

It is because they like an easy to get rich scheme.  They are too lazy to work of have patience to get rich simply by waiting.  Well if we invest in bitcoin directly, we can earn big simply by waiting, aren't we?  Creator of scam scheme just trigger greediness from their unsuspecting victim, and it seems they are very successful since numbers of getting scam everyday keep on increasing.

But still there are a lot of newbies that are becoming victims each day and I guess they also have some fault on it for being greedy and not doing some consultation and research.

That website for any one here with normal common sense is fake just by the look of it, especially when it says "Invest Now, Send here". This one is easy to identify but scammers nowadays are becoming more and more complex. You should never invest in any website without reading this very section of the forum, this is the best place to know what's going on , on a certain website.

If there is nothing here about the website you are interested, then with 100% it is a scam site cause if it were legit , it definitely would be here listed to discuss about it. Sorry for your loss but next time be careful and do a lot of research. Remember best investment is to hold the bitcoin for the longer term.

The number of ponzi sites are on a rise. The newbies that have just started using bitcoins often fall prey to this so good to be true investment schemes with high returns. I think that the advertising network should not allow such kinds of scam websites to host their ads on such networks, as when people visit faucets or other bitcoin related sites, they often tend to click such website's link and finally falling prey to their scam.
Also it was a .tk free domain, and the website is no longer available. The scammer has gone with people's money.

The nature of bitcoin is like that, it is one of the most used currencies for scamming purposes. You know how to build a basic website, you can scam, you do not know, you can buy cheap ponzi scripts for scamming. Even basic conning skills is not required to pull off a bitcoin scam. Just a good looking website, a small quantity of bitcoins to lure the ever ignorant, never learning herd of stupid bitcoin users. Even after so many cloud mining, HYIP, investor based games scams, new websites based on these exact working models pop up daily. Thanks to some of the ever ignorant bitcoin users for fueling it. To be fair though, you would have to be laughably stupid to actually send BTC to one of these addresses. I’m not saying that they don’t work, because they wouldn’t be advertised if they didn’t, but this is barely above Nigerian prince emails in terms of reliability.

I can’t imagine most people smart enough to figure out how to send, use, and receive bitcoin would ever fall for this. This type of thing is just the work of someone greedy enough to try scamming people but too lazy to do anything that would ever actually work.
