is there any reason for the massiv price increase or just a great coin with great team and great future?

I hold a wide portfolio but I still think that BIS had more to do to get the appropriate trust it needs to boost up to 10$

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I know there are a number  of people having issues with withdrawing from Cryptopia to their web wallet, but what about going the other way?
Sending from web wallet to cryptopia?

I did this successfully a few days ago, but just trying to send a little bit today, I enter all the info required (like last time), and it appears to send successfully, I get a green bar at the top saying transaction sent, and the balance seems to reflect this transaction, but when I click on the transactions page I don't see the the transaction.

When I go back to the Home tab, my balance has the full balance, as if the transaction was never sent. I thought maybe it's a delay thing, but it's been an hour or so now, and the transaction still hasn't appeared in the transaction tab.

Any thoughts? Anyone else having a similar issue?

If I check here http://bismuth.online/ledgerquery
I see the payouts I'm getting to my address from the pool, but not the transaction that I just attempted to send.. It's like it's not actually being posted to the blockchain or something..
Is there any sort of forum or update page for whoever's managing the wallet? Some sort of potential known issue to be aware of might be acknowledged somewhere..

So I just set up the desktop wallet, and tried transferring from the web wallet to my new address, and again, it says it went through, but when I check the transactions tab it doesn't show up.. Doesn't show up in the block explorer either.. What the heck is going on with the web wallet.. I asked in the slack channel too, but haven't learned anything yet.

Had this yesterday, tried 10 times, and only once did it transfer out, I used different amounts most of the time. Idk if there was maintanance, but today it worked right off the bat... *shrugs

you answered your own question  Smiley

yes, very solid.  so basically buy/hold and decide what color lambo you want for xmas 2018

hrhr, that would be nice...

but one of the bigger exchanges would be neccessary for this...

I wish I was more bullish on them but the devs have abandoned the community. There are SO many people that have sent BIS to the web wallet with it basically being lost, and they have yet to respond anywhere. Has anyone been in contact with them?? This really is bad.

Thanks for the info.. I've been trying all day.. I'll keep trying I guess, and then that's it for me with the web wallet.. Clearly there are issues.

EDIT: It finally went through, I did it with no "Openfield data", and that seemed to work.

After downloading, install to your directory of choice. and start the node first -- Let the node sync - then start the wallet.exe

Did you install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 redistributable before installing the wallet?

Hi mate, Yes there is a discord group for bismuth it's not as active as the slack though but if you have questions about mining of this sort of stuff it is answered pretty quickly there. Regardless , nice people.

I have 3 withdrawals from Jan 9. Status in Cryptopia is "Complete" but nothing in my wallet. I am running the github wallet v4.2.2.0 (latest version).

Here are the people in this thread reporting deposit or withdrawal issues since Jan 1:
Xdragon - deposits not received on cryptopia Jan 3 (page 75)
DuvajBalone - ditto (page 76)
Sash_lav - ditto (page 76)
Mike1983 - ditto (page 76)
nonny12 - withdrawal not received (page 76)
moonstruck - ditto (page 76)
arielbit - ditto Jan 6 (page 79)
worldwide_wes - ditto Jan 9 (page 79)
khage - ditto Jan 10 (page 80)
benbutton - ditto Jan 7 (page 80)
TTE - ditto Jan 10 (page 80)
chiwalfrm - ditto Jan 9 (page 80)

Anything new regarding that issue?
I'm pretty sure there are a lot more users.
