Upper Deck Sports has issued a new sports coin set called Grandeur. They are legal tender, there are four tiers of scarcity and they are available in blind packaging. I would like to know what your opinions are on this product. Thanks
You can read all about it here. http://sportcardcollectors.blogspot.com/2017/04/coined-in-hobby.html?spref=tw

Thanks for the info.  I'm a little torn on this because hockey generally isn't as collectible as baseball and the price of silver is only about $17.50/ounce.  You're losing money right off the bat (pardon the pun).

I am a huge hockey fan and collect hockey card. The market seems very strong on these coins. I am no expert in coins although it seems a couple of my favorite players, McDavid and Daniel Sedin have a strong secondary market. Along with the ability to trade coins on upper decks e-pack platform where the coins are also purchased: https://www.upperdeckepack.com/

For Example. The McDavid /5000 Silver coin sells for +$150 Canadian

I have seen a few people mention the ounce of silver with respect to types of coins, yet as a collectible where does this fit in?

Thanks and have a great day!
