I guess it may not matter for this group buy since Phil has decided not to escrow.  But probably still a good idea for the other group buy to know who is who...  We haven't heard from Kilo yet, but I can't imagine this purchase can go forward without Phil.

I have corresponded with Philip and under these circumstances I think it would be best to not hold this Group Buy.  This is for a number of reasons but suffice it to say that it is to risky for all parties involved.  I have a great history doing Group Buys as well as other transactions with philipma1957 and take his advice seriously.

Good luck to those looking to purchase the miner in getting one safely.  I hope it turns out well for everyone.

Thanks Kilo, I appreciate you trying to make this happen.  Good luck to those looking to buy the iBelink miners... I think I am going to follow Phil's advice and go play with some GPU's! LOL

I did a long hard look at this and the minimum 90 days from payment to shipping seems to make it a deal breaker.

I went in the direction of some more nvidia gpus. I am close to 8000 h and will soon be at 8700 then 9100h.

Put me down for 38 units.

LOL, too good to be true.

Kilo, I just made some calculation and seems that this is very profitable based on calculation here: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/dash?HashingPower=10.8&HashingUnit=GH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=850&CostPerkWh=

This is ROI within a month (by not calculation the electricity), or there is a mistake here?

If in any case there is only one left then I will re-think and maybe order one.

I independently calculated ROI to be the same two days ago and based on this amazing return I concluded that the manufacturers must have rocks in their head to sell devices that pay back in perhaps 15 days if only their costs were involved, don't need to add their profit to that calc.
Why the hell would you sell miners that you would be better off keeping with those sorts of returns. Are they really trying to be that kind to the world ?

Good luck !

This is why at the very least there will be a delay shipping these miners... You know the manufacturer needs to make sure that you don't get a bad miner so they will have to do some "burn in tests" for you just to be sure... May delay shipment 30 days or more... But your miner will be assured to not be DOA! LOL

These things never ship on time if they ship at all.  So it will be fun watching what happens to those who jump in on the preorder.  And you can't rule Baikal and others out either.  So it will be fun to watch.

I think I am going to take Phil's advise and mine some more GPU's and set aside a little to invest in the next wave if it is still profitable to even do so.   Grin

dear phil,

sorry to ask this OOT question.
but why choose nvidia gpus over the amd like rx470s?
afaik rx series has better speed and thus better ROI.

If you check out some of Phil's threads you will see he has quite a farm going.  He has AMD rigs, ASIC miners, but recently started jumping into the Nvidia mining.  So he has all of the bases covered!   Grin  Great reading and a good education for anyone just getting into mining.  Phil's got a solar farm thing going on as well.  Just amazing fun stuff.

basically I am diverse.

I have stable power in the solar farm

my limits are not as much power as I want.  heat control and

 asic gear sucks

s-9's break - can not down clock any more.  need to for heat issues .
r-4's  break---- I  don't need to down clock but both that I have have issues running  in proper temps with proper power.
avalon's are great  they  just run but they burn power.
I could not get new x11 gear,
l3 was held up by bitmain

this leaves nvidia and or amd.gpus
I can down clock and I have the ability to sell gear to gamers - the nvidia or miners the amd.
once you have 11 mobos paid off you can pick and choose the gpu's to use.
