For me, I think links becauase it is one click away to the people who use computer or cellphones. Many persons are using technology nowadays so link is so preferable to people. Link can also share to other social medias that can promote. Promoting using link is so useful and it is more faster than products. For me, link is the highly recommended thing in promoting someting.

I think the best way is in social because most of people and young people are already access and use social media. Every time they open they see many things in internet. Because most of people interested in social media and they open always and active. Or maybe we can invite people and let us talk with them and explain well so that we can promote products or links because some of them maybe they don't have or not using social media.

Here in forum posting of referral link is not allowed. And in most of the social medias its fine to post referral links but I guess its not allowed by sending it thru PM. What website are you trying to use? Just go to their TOS and FAQ, for that will answer all of your questions or email their support.

Actually this is correct. Social Media is one of the best and cheapest way to advertise your products or links or whatsoever. Your content must be the problem like @bitcub said. The content of your promotion plays a big factor to attract potential customers to at least visit your site. In advertising and promotion there are a lot of medium you could use such as Social Media, Newsletter, Emails, Banners, and etc. Though, Social media is the most use tool as of today and it has a wider ranger compare to others.

I totally agree with you Bitcub  , i think he is not aware about many important factors about internet marketing. Let me try to make it simple.first see that you have enough followers or friend's list. Join only groups that are related to your Niche and Marketing Offers, dont try to spam your offer.
 Then see that whether your offer and Marketing materials are attractive or not. Then try to check the niche, if you have followers and friends from health and fitness background, then how could you get your Make money online offer links to be clicked in those groups.

Have you tried Video marketing through Youtube and Dailymotion, if not please go for it Youtube is 2nd biggest search engine after google. Also go for Content marketing through EBOOKS. You can also start sharing your links in CLASSIFIED WEBSITES specially craiglists .
