Why would people invest in altcoins now, if Bitcoin will almost surely rise even more and give guaranteed profit?

I think would be better wait until the BTC top is reached

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. Hybrid server-assisted clients like Electrum get a lot of their network information from centralized servers, but they also check the server's results using blockchain header data. This is perhaps somewhat more secure than either server-assisted clients or header-only clients.

It's hard to invest in alt coins now since the prices are constantly going down though they have not reached rock bottom for now. Wait for the bitcoin price to stabilize then we can assume whether alts will follow the trend of bitcoin or will increase in demand.
