Is this project still alive? I just wanna know before I invest money into it.

The team still has time to step in and tell the community about their project.

The team is very active on twitter, but here is a silence, I don't know why  Cool

I'll start being more active on here. But Discord and Twitter are the best ways to get in touch. You can also reach me on twitter directly too: @Elypse_Pink

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Urgent Notice: PINK is currently experiencing network difficulties. Please do not make any transactions on the network while a solution is being worked out. Miners should temporarily discontinue mining. A fix will be issued momentarily.

HashFaster.com has added Pinkcoin and is on the latest chain.

Worked with the Devs to get it back on track for anyone wanting to mine PINK.

http://hashfaster.com

Mine with your wallet ID

Example: -o stratum+tcp://hashfaster.com:3433 -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> -p c=PINK

Second Step: Right click and create a shortcut for your newly downloaded 2.1.0.3 wallet.

Third Step: Right click and open up the “properties” menu on the shortcut created in Step Two.

Fourth Step: Find the textbox that says “Target.” At the end of the text written enter a space, then type: -startfrom=315065

Where is github source for latest version?

It's confusing. The OP links to this github, but I couldn't find source for 2.1.0.3 in it

https://github.com/PinkDev/Pink2

However, that github has this message in.

This repository has been archived. The project has moved to:

http://www.github.com/Pink2Dev/Pink2

Please use that repository from now on.

Unfortunately this github only has source for version v2.1.0.4.

The OP needs updating to include links to all the source. Also this website linked to on it seems to be down.

It looks like this coins network was attacked and they executed a hard fork to fix a vulnerability used in the attack.

Since this hard fork, all pools and exchanges appear to have shut down to sync back up I assume.

https://medium.com/@cryptocayce/incident-pinkcoin-network-attack-9f6bbe5048b6

Quote
TLDR:
The attackers found a vulnerability that allowed them to produce a large number of blocks and make them appear to be created in a very short period of time without increasing their difficulty.
We believe a block difficulty validation routine vulnerability was the cause of exploitation.
This led to a rush of new blocks at a lower difficulty, allowing the attacker to generate pinkcoin.
The attacker ‘rewound’ honests blocks after 315055 to seize control of the chain.
All your pinkcoin are safe, and no coins were stolen in this attack.
The network was hardforked with a new protocol revision number at block 315065.
The HF fixes the time-warp difficulty adjustment bug, and undoes all the dishonestly mined blocks.
Any transactions after this height (2017–12–22/23) will need to be resent to the network to be processed.
We are coordinating with exchanges and miners with the updated wallet.
Please update to Pinkcoin 2.1.0.3, this is a mandatory HF to mitigate an active attack against the Pinkcoin Network.
Post-Update steps
Remove any old ‘addnodes’ in your pinkconf.txt
Delete peers.dat from your .pink2 datadir. These stale peers may be running older versions. Let it get new peers from DNS/new network
When running, rescan the blockchain from the HF height:
./Pinkcoin-Qt -startfrom=315065
or
Pinkcoin-Qt.exe -startfrom=315065
For a visual on how to do this check out our blog post here

"update to 2.1.0.3", but if i'm already running 2.1.0.4?

It's dated information that says "2.1.0.3", that post was from a week ago.

For those having trouble getting the blockchain to download with the new version, make sure you're using the -startfrom entry listed in previous post and you can download the file called "bootstrap" here to save you the blockchain download time https://getstarted.with.pink/download/

Just unzip that into your appdata folder and it'll save you a ton of time.

How to use -startfrom   in linux daemon?
