there was something on reddit about this yesterday.
some website (that has an 3000$ entry fee to join it) said to buy lumens.
And so people did.
can't find it on reddit/r/cryptocurrency anymore....
edit: found it https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellar/comments/74i95z/interesting_daydid_i_miss_news_of_some_kind/

Is there a story to read about the IBM stuff?

Looked today into the Lumen price and expected the same sad story like everyday. Was happily surprised. Smiley

Lol I still remember getting the Stellar airdrops, all you needed was a Faceboook account and you got like 4000 or something haha and I sold it for $20 in BTC.  Guess I should have HODLed.

It already dropped back down to 3.3 Cent. Maybe it was only a short trap to collect some money from the greedy people.

Glad I got out of there, I just don't trust Stellar.  Nice to buy when it's low and wait for a pump though.

I feel like this is a pump as people are just buying because of FOMO. Well we will see the next few days but if IBM really uses lumens as their currency, chances prices will rise further but definitely not higher than $0.25.

Should've jumped on the bandwagon...Where do people think the price will go next? Now the announcement has come with IBM?

Bandwagon crashed allready. Was this just a bump & dump, by IBM? If so help me god I will never ever trust anything in this market ever again. Everything is just a ponzi.

This is normal that price has gone down after such a jump. Some people are happy with over 100% gain and their took their profit.

If IBM just a software company going to use Stellar than whats the fun ?
If it's being used by Banks then only it's worth it...

IBM supports, maintain lot of banks backend

Exactly! IBM is a huge player with quite a bit of influence. They don't just make PCs and laptops any more  Wink

Do you know if they plan any new airdrops as they would push the price back again.

i heard from someone, i do not rember his name though that str and xrp are nothing but toys of btc whales. I am not sure , i just heard. He said that xrp went very high without any news of improvement. Is that true? Or what are the news that drive the price too high ? It is almost obvious that str always follow xrp. May be I am wrong but I saw many times

This is not really correct. XRP is going sky high because of news of banks supporting it.

STR has yet to have these news, but they're made by the same developer and they're aimed at doing the same thing "platform that connects banks, payments systems, and people".

My bet is that we'll be seeing some big STR news in the near future. Let's see if I'm right.

Hasn't XRP had bank partnerships for a long time? What is the reason for swelling and then say not much say conference news?
